I was thinking of something the other day. It seems like a lot of the petitioners and their SOs are getting through a bit easier and faster these days. I almost wonder if there's an unspoken idea circulating around at the embassy or just in general there. If people are approved and can go abroad, that means more remittances back to the home country which means more money funneling in to the country which is good for the economy. Made me wonder if that doesn't have a little something to do with approvals and things moving along a little more quickly now.

hahahaha...next you'll be posting dreams that you have had about the embassy. When is your interview again?

Interview is May 27th. My horoscope at Astrology Zone said that could be an important day....hmmmm. :)

I'm being judged unfairly at work for the same thing. It hurts that people can't see past their own judgements because of an increased workload or frustrated bosses. Most don't get it until it is in their own back yard. Once she satisfied the requirements for FMLA...she does not have to bring a doctor's excuse to work. As a matter of fact, we cannot even keep copies of doctor's notes or FMLA claim info in our employees HR files. I don't wish what I'm going through on anyone. Shemmy try to stay objective and think what if it happened to your hubby or yourself. You don't want someone thinking that you are slacking off while you are taking care of your husband because it is not easy for the person with the back surgery or the person taking care of them. Love you much babes.

Jawi - I understand your point but I know these cases on professional and personal levels. We are all HR specialists so they are familiar with the procedures. We always need documentation. Our Executive Director has to approve all leave requests.

Actually, I am the nice one in the office who give them work to do from work and donated my own leave. I have fought for them to be in our leave donation program so they can still get a paycheck to support their families. Like most employees, they cannot afford to go without getting paid. The only things I've asked for are medical documentation and report hours work to make sure they get paid on time. Which they have failed to do....so I'm done. Trust me, upper management will not be so nice.

Yea we are hoping for Friday the 8th, but he has not gotten the passport back yet and I am not booking the flight until he gets it in his hands.

Don't plan anything until he has it - we have been waiting 19 days to get A's back from the embassy.

Did you contact the Embassy IW? His passport is ready and waiting for him to pick it up :dance:

That's great Lovesponge
