hello everyone. i have not been on for awhile because me and husband are having problems. We are on the verge of getting divorced. About a month ago i got a phone call from a girl he has been seeing since last september. he began seeing when i went to atlanta to spend some time with his mother because i needed with the baby. I was depressed at that time and he wouldn't help me with the baby so when she ask to come i said. Now i jus found out that he has another girl in jamaica who he is planning to visit in the summer. After the girl called he beg me stay and try to work it out but there is just so much i can take and no more. I just filed to remove the condition on my visa but i don't want to be here anymore. he is saving up his money for when he goes to jamaica so they can have a good time while me and his child is here without money. i have beeen trying to go into a shelter because i have no family here to take me in nad can't afford the ticket to go home and he won't buy it. he says if i take the baby and leave i must not call for anything. I am jus sick of him and want to get out. help

Jodi, listen! Get the conditions remove first. Go spend sometime with the mother and try and get even a part-time job. Going back to Jamaica is a deeper risk for you right now, people will put you in emotional stress by saying things about you that is not true eg. Is deport dem deport har.....she bad, suh di man run har outta America, she ni nuh wha nutten in life etc. which you know you will be innocent which will lead to more stress. Things are rockier in JA right now with everything skyrocketing in price etc. Its everyman for himself, you cannot depend on family down there.

I always tell the ladies to be on the watch out for themselves being use for a greencard....but this time after yu straight, move on, work for you and your baby. Bring the man to child-support court. Don't sit down and bawl wanting to give up, you have more opportunity here.

Tonight after dinner, my friends & I went to a karaoke spot. I had a blast. When we first got there, it was almost empty. I sang "Doin' Da Butt" and "Shake Your Bon Bon"... felt like my songs had a common thread. Now it's time to read some "Baggage Check" before bed. Oh, I ordered the Love Dare book. It was WAY more expensive than most books I buy... but I guess not many people are selling it used. Must be good!

Sisters........need your good healing vibes tonight, as my sweetie is in the hospital, and so far we don't know why...other than anemia. he was supposed to go to Kgstn today to get his court records cleaned up and now can't do that...and with our interview coming up on Tuesday, i'm very worried that either his health or his records are going to hurt us. Please keep us in your prayers that all comes out like it's supposed to.....sweet and beautiful.

Heaven..I'm not even gonna lie..I'll have to pull out my map to even see were St. Thomas falls. LOL!

Lmao..Exactly my point !! well its the parish to the east of Kingston..not much goes on their...on the upside they dont have much crime..but the down side..there are no parties or any exciting festivities..they have nice beaches though..they only "tourist " attraction is Bath Fountain Hotel and Spa..that place is really nice..it was featured on the travel channel or the discovery channel one ah dem.. my fam all lives their so i never been to ochi or dunns river or negril..which i'm so looking forward to going one day..

Wow jodie i feel bad for you it's usually the other way around because i am new i would just suggest to get your things together it's plenty opportunity here and the system in america works for women with kids, they have all type of programs i am from ny myself you i can always give you some shelters or family assistant programs. worst come worst you cry infidelity & emotional abuse go to a women shelter and will have your own in a lil less then a year make america work for you get on ya feet and do better then him in his own damn country! these men can be so damn mean....

So, almost 2 months ago, my psycho boss fired me for no good reason. Made up a bunch of lies about me being insubordinate and rude.

Last Friday she was fired by the owners who finally realised how horrible she was. Got a call yesterday asking me to come back!! So I start Monday!!

O.k. so it wasn't just Roc. Girl they know what their doing the dance with you the first night to see what your working with and then once they know they sit down like o.k. I'm done. Haha funny thing one time I went to the Jungle and I told him I had to go to the bathroom well I just happened to walk through the dance floor to get there and well I might have stopped and danced for a minute. Well by the time I did make it to the bathroom Roc was standing in front of the door like, “wah yuh get lost..” Oops

nat when u say "relationship styles" that is RIGHT ON THE MARK my girl.. i keep telling my ex, he is not wrong for what he did or didn't do, its just not the way i wanted to roll in a relationship.. thats why that book "the 5 love languages" is a necessity as well..

b4 i read it.. i had caught on to the "relationship style" thing.. my husband didnt feel loved sometimes.. i don't care how much i told him, i gave him after work massages, i make dates w/ him, it was nice but it didn't hold much weight w/ him .. but he would go BANANAS when i would have a HOME COOKED dinner ready after work instead of us going out and when i had been cleaning all day and the house smelled of pine sol when he entered.. those kinds of things i TRIED to do more even tho i am not the best cook or housekeeper, but when i saw how special it made him feel i was like OKAY...

but he never caught on to the fact that my style was to hear compliments, get kisses and hugs and spend quality time.. i would tell him, but i guess he didn't think it was that important as long as he was do the THINGS that meant love to him.. taking out trash, paying the bills, maintaining our home. etc

u gotta get somebody that has ur same style or is at least willing to understand ur style and adapt.. the book is an oldie but a goodie..

The only thing that I'm worried about is that I have completed the process for Verizon and I'm just basically waiting for them to make a job offer.

My old job I liked, but the commute is bad, benefits aren't bad and is full time. Also, no real promotion prospects.

The Verizon job is going to be part time, but full time positions open up pretty regularly and promotion prospects are good. Commute is better. This is sales though, and while I THINK I'd be good, I've never done sales....

Sigh....

I am thankful to have choices, but damnnnn

No stress girlies and honestly you owe your old job nothing. Thank goodness they are welcoming you back but if Verizon comes along I say take it. You have to make moves in life that is best for you. I am glad that your company realizes what a great asset and contribution you were now your concise can be clear ad you have a good track record again but at the end of the day you have to do what makes you happy and if that is going with Verizon when they call you have to roll on...

So let me share a little of my story with unno...

One of the very first things we connected on was that we both lost our mothers as teenagers. He was 18, I was 19, we were both the babies of the family and both of our mothers loved us the best. We were spoiled with love all our young lives and then had that love ripped from us as we entered adulthood....

A curse and a blessing so it seems, we were made to know what truly matters in life very young and as such, we don't sweat the small stuff. Love and life are precious and we both know how much.

I have asked him to tell me about her and then sat while he talked for the better part of an hour describing a woman I admire so much. To have raised such a fine young man in such hard times with so much to deal with she had to have been a pillar of strength.

So Sunday before last, his family came with him to get me at the airport and they took me home...

Up, up into the hills and straight to the house he was born in. He took my hand and he led me back behind the house to his mother's grave. "Momma" he says.. "I brought someone I want you to meet"

I greeted her with such love in my heart and I thanked her for loving him so much.

This is the most touching moment of my life.

That he took me to HER first makes me know how much he loves me, because I know how much he loved her...

No one will ever understand what passed between us that day and no one needs to...

"Momma" is the core of us, and the core of our love for each other.

I chose to walk in faith with eyes wide open...

I chose to accept that we are both human and we will make mistakes...

I chose to believe that no matter what mistakes we make, if we both want to make it work, we will...

We have been reading a chapter or two of this book every day...
