Haha, so many January weddings. So close together too.

I'm not really excited about my wedding. I think it's just a formality we need to get passed.

I'm doing it for my family anyway, I could honestly care less about a ceremony.

My family is doing the all-out Wedding thing, and I'm kinda excited about being able to get everyone we care about in the same place at the same time...Considering out guest list hits people in about 3/4 of the states in the US, several provinces in Canada as well as friends and family in a couple other countries, it's probably the only time we'll ever get them all together! Our Pastor (who's been at my church since I was 12) is doing the ceremony at the church I was raised in, and our church choir is singing during the ceremony.

My Church

I've had my dress for a couple months now - walked in, tried it on and ordered it within 45 minutes...I just knew what I was looking for, and the dress is BEAUTIFUL (note: I hate dresses). Spoom hasn't seen it yet, so I can't post pics online, but I definately will once we get out pictures back from the wedding.

And our January wedding is actually something we decided on before we even got too far into the K-1 process (actually, we have a paper from my pastor with our intended wedding date that we sent with the I-129 paperwork)...the 23d is the closest we could get to our 3 year anniversary, which will be 1/19/09 (and it's 5 days after Spoom's birthday, which *should* help him remember our wedding anniversary!).

Hopefully, we won't get the blizard of the century on 1/23/10 *crosses fingers*

Anyone else have a freakishly tall man? :P It made for a couple challenging photos. Its funny how I never really notice the height difference until I look at pictures of us together.

I do! I do!!!! Im 4'11 (MAYBE closer to 4'10 but I always say 4'11 :P) and my hunny is 6'2. The only time we have really good pics together is when he squats, we sit or I stand on a tall stool :P

AT LEAST our children will have a fighting chance of being in the 5' range. I hated being the hobbit that waddled around town :lol:

Yeah, hopefully theres no blizzard (esp in Canada) that flights will be cancelled. BUT wouldnt it be gorgeous for pictures to have a white wedding??? AWWW I can just imagine it now!!!

I live in Erie, PA - right smack in the middle of the "snow belt". We actually get more snow here than Spoom does in London, ON thanks to fantastic lake-effect snow from Lake Erie.

My mom says she's envisioning a sunny day with blue skies and a pretty layer of fresh snow on everything. Dad says he's envisioning the worst ice storm our town has ever seen. (I'm hoping Mom's right!)

Ok guys, I finally have some "professional" pictures! I am honestly not at all impressed with our photographer's pictures, even less impressed with finding a picture of another wedding in our online album, and on the disk we got to keep! I politely asked her to take it off the album, and specifically asked if that picture was on the disk when I picked it up! :ranting:

A few days ago we got a disk of pictures that my husband's uncle (his girls were the flower girls) took, and a photo book that he made for us of the wedding! It was gorgeous! I love his pictures so much more! I wish there was more of them! He only does photography as a hobby and has never done a wedding before! Too bad we just didn't ask him to do our wedding :(

Wow! :lol: I'm almost 5'4" (sorta cheating) and my husband is 6'2" as well. I've always had a thing for taller guys, not to sure why. I guess it makes me feel cute and petite :P

I actually had a "friend" of mine get mad and say, "all you short girls steal the tall men so tall people like me can't find anyone." :huh: Right, because the reason you can't find a man is because you're tall... it couldn't be because you are a psycho B*tch :innocent:

Mwhahaha. My dad told me at the wedding the "technique" for cake smushing. I aimed and got him pretty darn good. He didn't see it coming. :D I ended up getting cake down the inside of my dress, though. :\

I'm 5'2" and hubby's 6'3". Yeah...
