My fiance keeps talking to his mom about wedding stuff.

I kind of told him last night I don't really want to talk about it due to it making me sad, but he doesn't really seem to get that.

Must be nice that he can talk to his mom so freely and easily about it.

And I'm still debating if I want make up or not.

I have pimples, so I'll probably wear foundation, but I dont think I want to do everything.

I've never worn make up in my life.

:( I know what you mean... my fiance and his parents kept trying to come up with plans and ideas, and really, it was just frustrating. I asked him to stop, and to explain to his parents that we literally have NO IDEA when the wedding will be, so trying to make plans is futile. I haven't heard anything more about it since, so maybe they finally got it. My mom picked out the outfit she's going to wear though, and seems excited. I thought that was cute. lol and she found some jewelry that she thinks will look nice with my dress, so we're going to test that out when it comes in. At least that stuff doesn't have to depend on what day it is.

It might be fun to put on a little bit of makeup, just for kicks. I don't normally wear any make up except for mascara and foundation, so it'll be weird for me too... though I do like to add some eye shadow or something if I go out. I'm going to see if I can find someone to do mine for cheap. or maybe my mom can do it. lol I dunno, we'll see.

2 days until the wedding!! My fiance and I are both nervous, but I think its just all the pressure of family and friends flying/driving into town and trying to spend time with all of them... My stomach is in knots! But we are both excited and can't wait until Saturday!!

Unfortunately the weather report keeps getting worse.....the temperature for Saturday...38F......and the chance of precip (ie snow) went from 10% to 50%!! :crying:

It was only 2 - 5 inches. :) I haven't seen it snow in Nebraska this early in the year before.

I hope you had a wonderful day!

Hello everyone! The wedding day was such a beautiful day, full of nerves and excitement but everything worked out great! I woke up and looked out the window and screamed when I saw all the snow on the ground and flying around! They were calling for 70% of snow showers for the rest of the afternoon. By the time the ceremony came though @2:30 it had cleared up and the sun was shining...alot of the snow had melted. But there was some nice pictures with snow in the background! I didn't want to get my dress wet so we were quick to do some park pictures!

Everyone kept on saying that the Canadians brought the snow down with them! LOL! They probably did! I actually needed my snowbrush on the day of my wedding! This week and next Nebraska gets back to average October temperatures....not 30's and 40's....go figure....

Our cake unfortunately did not make it to the cake cutting :( That was the only mishap, but I think it was because it was too warm in the room! When my hubby and I dropped by the room to check it out before the cocktail hour it was leaning a bit. Well it kept getting worse....We had pillars in between the top and middle tier. By the time the dinner was almost over a staff member came over to say its getting worse...it looks like the leaning tower of pisa.... They boxed up the top tier for us before the cutting of the cake! The cake was delicious and we have ALOT leftover!

Slowly recooperating on sleep! and enjoying married life before more paperwork and errands!

We are both in absolute shock with our wedding gifts.....we have enough to file for AOS, start planning a honeymoon, and feel comfortable in case anything unexpected happens while I cannot work, we both feel like we don't deserve it, everyone travelled so far, then to be so generous, we are both so thankful and shocked.

TimandJoyce-congratulations! Hope your roadtrip adventure was wonderful!

I have no pictures yet! My family has a bunch, hubbys family has some and of course the professional ones will take a little bit! I'll be back with pictures when I get some!

Wedding dress ordering can be nerve-wracking, because then it is a DONE deal! I know I was nervous, although I loved my dress. I kept thinking, what if I see another dress I like more or what if something goes wrong with what I want... but, all in all, it is a great experience. Have fun!

We must have had the same cake! It looked alright when we first got to the reception, but over time it too became the leaning tower of wedding cakes  so we had to do a cake cutting fast.

Our road trip was wonderful. I want to post some pic's soon, but like you ... paperwork, paperwork, paperwork.

I know this isn't a "wedding detail" but we did find out that when I get my GC, I won't have to take a driver's test or anything, just get it transferred over to a State one. Well, that's what we were told yesterday. The rules will probably change when the GC comes in...

Looking forward to your pic's and hearing more of your adventures. Ain't married life good? I LOVE the fact I'm not working!!!

Well,

Today was the worst day.

I was all excited to order my dress, and then I arrive and find out that they have pulled my dress from the store.

So while I can order it, I can't try it on again to make sure it's "the one".

The sales lady convinced me to try on some other ones and while I found one that was nice, a part of me can't stop thinking about my dress.

I would go to another place to order it, but the closest place that sells it, is 3+ hours away from here and I can't get time off work to go

and drive that nor can I afford all that gas money.

I'm devastated. I don't know what to do.:cry:
