Yep, both.

Thanks hon. Sucks though eh? I dislike the not knowing. I've actually done almost NO planning, and I have like 4 bridal magazines that I haven't bothered to look through cause I just get depressed knowing that I can't really do anything.

I stopped looking at the "The Knot" website because it's depressing.

I don't really say much when my fiance brings it up either. "Mhm", "Uh huh", "Yeah I see."

I know how you both feel, i just delete my wedding planner site emails, davids bridal and alfreds when they come cuz its like...ugh. Can't do anything, don't even want to think about it. Thankfully I should get to start planning in the new year.

Glad you're one step closer now though :D Have you thought about a 'revised' date? Are you having 2 ceremonies?

Yeah doing the civil "get my AOS stuff" wedding, and then a bigger ceremony maybe in March 2011? not sure exactly.

I kinda wish I could just do a civil one with only my fiancé and myself, but then we had the idea to have our parents join us... and i thought it would still remain simple, but it's getting kinda silly. I feel like I still need to worry about things like flowers, and photographs, and BS like that. :(

I just need to stop thinking about it. lol

I found it like 20 pages back.

I had a newer one but the search function wouldn't take me right to it... when most forums I've been on show you the post with the search words in it.

You have to do an advanced search for that function.

I did and it still didn't work.

Oh well. I'll have to remember the page # this time

Did you choose the option at the bottom right to view it as a post instead of a topic?

2 days until the wedding!! My fiance and I are both nervous, but I think its just all the pressure of family and friends flying/driving into town and trying to spend time with all of them... My stomach is in knots! But we are both excited and can't wait until Saturday!!

Unfortunately the weather report keeps getting worse.....the temperature for Saturday...38F......and the chance of precip (ie snow) went from 10% to 50%!! :crying:

Here's hoping the nice weather rolls around.

You know how them weathermen are, they're usually wrong.

After reading people's suggestions, I think we will go with whatever my mom wants. If she asks my opinion, bonus. If not, it's her party, right??!! I do have a friend from high school who is a DJ that I'd love to have there (she remembers him from high school), so maybe I'll make suggestions here and there (like that and if she asks me about food).

Thanks, all!

That kind of reminds me of my engagement party.

I didn't want it at all, but it was for my parents more than me, so I hid in another room the whole time.

The "Bar Room" we called it. My booze thanks. :D
