Great choice! I love that song so much; alas my fiance hates country music so it's not an option for us

I think ours will be the song "I'm a Pretty Lady" by the band Pinback ... not a well known song at all but we love them (and that song is "our" song) so why not!

We're doing "Lucky" by Colbie Callait and Jason Mraz and then breaking into a fun dance.

The wedding I went to this past weekend, the couple actually only danced to their first dance song for like 10 seconds and then they invited everyone else to join then! It was quite nice actually.

Nope no concrete move date yet, I am getting really anxious though! Depends how much packing I can get done!

Nice!! I had my hair trial too. I'm hoping that I'll get some email pic's of it so I can post them. It's going to look awesome!! I have very long hair, ( almost to my knees) and it was all brought up with curls everywhere. It looked kinda Victorian. And my dress is done!!!! Yay. Still some things to finish up but I think we'll be ready.

Im wondering how many of the Canadian side didnt have that many show up for their wedding in the states? When we were originally thinking of doing the K1 route, I felt so awkward knowing that 95% of the wedding would be his family, and friends...

There's only 3 Canucks at my wedding. One of my bridesmaids, my son and his fiancee. All the rest of the guests, ( about 250) are Tim's family and friends.

My parents are trying to pester me into having my ceremony wedding when I get down there, not on May 15th like we want it.

I wish they'd just let me have my day, seriously.

You should remind your parents that driving in the winter is NOT fun nor safe.

May 15th sounds perfectly fine to me

We're not having the wedding in Canada.

It's going to be in Cali. Mom thinks Canada's a boring place to have a wedding, and it's an excuse for my family to go on vacation.

I just want it to be warm cause I want an outdoor wedding.

Contrary to belief, it is actually chilly in Cali in January/February

I keep trying to tell that to my mom! She keeps trying to tell me certain dresses will be too warm and I'm like hey mom? It does actually get down to like 60-70 in the fall/spring, so it will be cool. If you keep thinking that and its outdoor like I want, you are going to FREEZE!

I know, I was saying yesterday I hope this is the weather we get on our wedding day!

I spent yesterday addressing the save the date envelopes and they are ready to bring to the post office Tuesday!

I went to my mom's tonight to help her do labels for my bridal shower invitations and I decided to try my dress on.

It looks much better now that I've lost some weight. it's exciting

I'll be glad when all of it it over! But I think it's going to be a really nice wedding. Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

You'll be amazed on how quickly that will pass. Just go one holiday at a time. Next month...Canadian Thanksgiving!!!

From my understanding (having not sent either) Save the Dates are sent well in advance of the wedding (6-12 months or so)... I think some people use it sort of as an engagement announcement as well... but it's usually sent to people you intend to officially invite later. I guess people do it mostly as what it sounds... 'save the date', as in don't plan any vacations or other stuff on that day cause we're getting married! lol Then the invitation is the official thing that you send to people within a few weeks or months of the wedding, with all the info about where/when the ceremony/reception is.
