I really need to start seriously planning my church wedding... we just got a new apartment so hopefully in a couple of weeks when we have everything moved in I can buckle down and figure out everything.

Yay!! Having your own place!! That's so exciting. Just a few more months and you'll be walking down the aisle again!!

I found out today that my friend from Canada is most likely able to come to my wedding.

I kinda need a straight answer out of her, so I hope she emails again soon

I'm sad that my friend in the US cant come, but she goes to a private school and her semester starts late, Jan 24th. She has to be there due to instructions for a huge final project to graduate high school, so that's a bit of a bummer.

Our wedding rings should be here today. We bought them online on Overstock. Way cheaper than what the jewelry store was going to charge. I got mine for about $230; 1/4 carat diamonds 14 karat white gold, where as the store was going to give me 14k white gold with 0.09 karat diamond for almost 400 dollars! My fiance's was at least 40 dollars cheaper, he just got a simple one made of tungstun.

We also ordered our wedding favors yesterday. We got glass coasters and little tubes of pink bubbles with wands. I also ordered my silk petals. I'm looking forward to getting the mail everyday now.

We got our programs in yesterday, and I'm getting a trial run done on my hair today I have my headband and veil sitting on my desk at work! Tomorrow, we're going into town to order our rings and exchange some of our duplicate wedding shower items (and pick out some other stuff we want on our list!). Thursday, I have a bunch of thank-you notes to start on, and Friday we're going down to get our marriage liscense (I have the morning off - thank goodness my boss is Russian Orthodox and celebrates Christmas late!).

Next week my great aunt (grandma's sister) is coming in from out of town to help bake cookies, put together favors, and generally help grandma and mom stay (as) sane (as possible). We finally figured out all the song information for the wedding and are sending that, along with the final check, to the DJ tomorrow...also sending out the bill for the florist. We paid the cake lady (ohhhh excited about the cake!), and gave her last-minute detail information. Next Wednesday, Spoom has to call the hotel where we have rooms blocked and cancel any rooms remaining on our block, and contact the caterer with an exact count of people for the reception.

At some point, someone still has to pick up liquor. Not sure who's in charge of that, but I bet it's a Dad question.

Also, weren't we supposed to have marriage counseling? Why do I get the feeling Spoom and I are gonna wind up in my pastor's office the whole last week before the wedding?

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck! It poured like crazy just before Bill and I got married, in between the pictures and the ceremony. About 10 minutes after our scheduled start time it just suddenly stopped, the clouds rolled away and the sun came out. Go figure! We felt like we won the weather lottery Hopefully you and Ben are just as lucky! We'll keep our fingers crossed!

About 10 minutes after our scheduled start time it just suddenly stopped, the clouds rolled away and the sun came out. Go figure! We felt like we won the weather lottery Hopefully you and Ben are just as lucky! We'll keep our fingers crossed!

I am either going to straighten my hair or wear it long and wavy. I am toying with the idea of getting extentions. My sister has them right now and you can't even tell that they aren't her own hair. My hair is long on it's own, but I want it to be really long!

I'd love to have hair as long as Eowyn from Lord of the Rings (heck she is probably wearing extentions lol).

And I'd love to wear her dress for a wedding dress, but I just can't being myself to be that geeky, so I am bidding on this dress instead on EBay (currently the high bidder woot!).

Well I saw the dress and the starting bid was $49.99 so I figured why not. It's retail price is $699. Depending on how much money I can scrape together, I wasn't going to spend more than $800 on a dress. I put in my max bid ($200) and so far I am winning so let's hope no one outbids me at the last second.
