OMG I get married tomorrow.

I tried on the red chinese dress my friend got for me and it didn't fit right (actually made me look like I was wearing a mumu). I didn't have time to take it in so I went and got another dress at Bonton's yesterday. I will take in the red dress and wear it for the rehersal for my "wedding" in May.

Yay, Peachey and Varba are getting married tomorrow

Not a whole lot happening on my front.

Still don't know if I'm going to have bridesmaids, they have to see what their school schedules are going to be like.

None of my fiance's friends have called back about the wedding invites, some friends they are.

And I still don't know if I have wedding jewelry, my fiance's aunt is supposed to be buying it, but we havnt heard anything.

Congrats Peachy and Varba :)

We have the programs and favors ordered, going out tomorrow (if I'm feeling better) to find ribbon and all that other frilly stuff. My bridal shower is on Sunday (but I have to preach at a different church first!). My hairdresser is doing a trial run next Tuesday and has the date of the wedding booked to do my bridesmaids' hair. Our cake is ordered and paid for. Our DJ has a check in the mail, and we just have a little more info to give her. We still have to get the ring bearers in to get fitted!!

<--going crazy with wedding planning!

Oooh yay congrats! I'm so excited for you guys!

On our front we narrowed down the date to the 20th of jan for the civil. We had 2 options, the 20th and 28th but his last day off work is the 28th so he didn't want to wait that long. Don't worry though ashen, your day will be like 10x prettier than mine in that lovely dress you have! I can't wait to see your pictures!

Congrats Peachy and Varba! I hope everything goes well for you two tomorrow. :D

We finally got to the County Clerk's office today. License has been received, extra certified copies applied and paid for. Our officiant is all set for the 9th and everyone who is able to make it has time taken off work. Only thing left is to go look at the park we're planning on actually have our mini-ceremony at.

My fiance's sister's fiance (mouthful, heh) has kindly offered to take photos/video of the wedding, so my parents and sister back home can see what all went on.

I'm actually excited, since it seems as if everything has fallen into place a lot easier than planned.

Ooh, Ebrech, you MUST post pictures of you in that dress. How gorgeous!

Hey Sam,

Glad to hear you're in Orlando and getting ready for your wedding. Sean and I were in Orlando yesterday. We went to Sea World to ride their new rollercoaster- Manta, and to visit some comic book stores.

I can't wait to see pics of your wedding!

Let me know how getting the SS # goes for you. If it goes well, I'll have Sean get his prior to when we get married.

He hasn't activate the K1 yet. I think he'll do that in February.

EDIT: Do you mean you got the marriage license or that you actually got married at the court house? Why do you need extra certified copies if you haven't gotten married yet?

Everything else thusfar has been a breeze. We went to the bank yesterday and they added me to Ben's account and added me on as an authorized user for a new credit card we signed Ben up for. The only thing is that I can't change my name on the account until I have both my marriage certificate and my married name on my driver's license (which I can't get without NOA1 for AOS). So I'll be in name limbo for awhile as far as the bank is concerned.

My plan for the SS# is going the day before we get married... but depending on Ben's work schedule, and whether or not I can find anyone else to take me up there, I may end up having to wait. We shall see.

Sounds like you two have been having a good time. Manta looks so terrifying though! Ben loves coasters, so he's been on it... I just sit aside and watch, haha.

Edit: We got the license today. In Seminole (and perhaps elsewhere), once we're married, we are to mail in the signed license and then they mail us the certified copy. If we want additional copies, we either go into the county clerk office and pay for additional ones, or we could just pay in advance and they'd all be sent out to us with the initial one. We chose that route, as we had the extra cash sitting in my purse anyhow.

It snowed on my wedding day too, this past Oct 10th. I hear it's good luck!!

It snowed all morning then by the ceremony time the sun came out and melted all the snow! There was still snow on the trees though made for some nice pictures!

Love the invites and the hair clips, Starburst and Rhiann!

Ohymygosh, your flowergirl looks so thrilled with her new dress, Scooter. That's so sweet! lol

Ebrech (Persona?), your dress is going to look amazing on. I hope you post pics!

NotYourPsycho.... welcome to VJ! :) I can't believe you read the whole thread, either! You have stamina.

Haha thanks! I read it over a few nights so it's no big deal. Just kind of nice to see the options and all these happy endings.

I will have to agree about wedding photographers - being one myself in WA - I am going to be super picky and mad I have to enjoy the wedding and not take pictures at it. Hah
