Thanks Arabella :) Its not really big or flashy, but I get a lot of comments about it. I really feel like it matches my personality too. He did good!

You guys have very pretty rings!

Mal, both yours and your husband's ring are gorgeous. I found a pretty ring that had the two sides curved into one another almost like that (no idea what it's called) and the ring was so pretty but it looked silly on my hand. :(

The two-toned on your husband's ring looks very elegant.

And I agree with you all - I can't see myself upgrading stones. Too much sentimental value to these, and anything bigger would honestly just not look right.

Well, my engagement was a complete surprise. We didn't have plans to file the K-1 and then move at such and such a date. Rather he proposed, we considered our options (who should move where) and then we looked into what it would take for me to move to the US. Before we even filed we set a wedding date and started making plans, so its a good thing everything worked out in time, because it could have very easily gone the other way. So, I didn't get to pick out my ring because I didn't know the ring was coming! But I'm glad I didn't, he did great. His mom and jeweler that he's known since childhood helped, but I'll still give him the credit.

I don't think it's bad to pick out your ring.

I told him what I wanted style-wise(white gold solitaire) & he went out & got it.

I was looking at wedding rings, and as much as I want a plain band, I'm starting to like the ones with rows of diamonds in it.

They really are pretty.

I always thought I wanted a plain band... then that silly so-and-so at the store had me try other rings with it "for fun"... Haha. So I fell in love with the ones with diamonds.

my hubby picked out my wedding band.. it is white gold with 5 little diamonds and two gold little bands on either side of the diamonds.. I think it cost him around 200 dollars... my hubby's ring is a plain white gold band that cost him around 100 bucks or less.. he got it engraved with my name.. awww .....he picked out his own ring too...

my engagement ring was white gold with a little heart shaped diamond..

My wedding band is a row of diamonds. Actually I have 2, one for the top, one for the bottom of the ring. It's perfect, I have an obsession with symmetry... I should get a picture of the whole thing together.
