Has anyone had experiences with calling montreal to push their interview date back? I haven't gotten mine but I'm really worried that I will not have the documents ready in time. I did send package three back (my mistake with everything going on now) but my fiance and I have had a some problems and because of that neither of us have gotten anything done yet. Since montreal is slow i figured i could send it and have lots of time gettig things together. but now im a month behind. Based on timelines I'm thinking I might get a september interview date. But because of my job too i can't get time off than and want to continue working for a few months for more money. so im not planning on quiting if i cant get it booked off. So I was thinking of calling montreal to ask not to have an interview date set til late october as the earliest. I know some people call to get one sooner without much luck, but anyone call to get a later one? Do you have to wait until you actually find out your date first before attempting this? I just want to save the hassle of getting a date and than seeing if its possible for later one. my fiance has also lost his tax return which adds to the mess. I'm so stressed.

thanks for any advice.

I would email them now and tell them you've sent the reply and you're waiting for your interview letter, and because of circumstances you won't be able to go until later than expected. they may or may not oblige.

Alternatively, you can go to your interview for whenever they schedule it, and just don't activate your K1 until you're ready. I believe its good for 6 months after issue, so you've got some time.

If you haven't made your medical exam appointment yet, you should.
