Never been to Germany.

Wow...have you ever met his parents though?

It was one of my 'requirements' for my husband to at least meet my parents and I meet his parents before we got engaged.

Do you ever want to go? Is his family still in Germany?

We had all talked over video chat. His parents came to the wedding but his brother's family couldn't come. I want to travel everywhere but he doesn't want to go back to Germany. Benny actually said something similar to, "Once you've seen one European city you'll know what Germany is like."

That's what I said too but my husband is fascinated by the history. When we're in Germany I'm the one who wants to sit around with the family and he just wants to travel.

I want to travel the world so saying no to Germany is awkward.

My wife asked me if I wanted to ever travel to places like Italy or Spain.... I told her I'm not done seeing Germany yet!

Last time we were there my almost BOL took us to Ingolstadt. We went through the Audi museum. A very fascinating place indeed. My wife and her sister were rather annoyed, but they did get to go wild in the gift shop.

I found it here:

I don't remember how I ran across this site. It has been on my computer for years. I actually visited the camera when we were in Germany last year (cheesy huh?). I will try to post some pictures of it when I get home.

The Americans I meet always seem to have been to the South, nobody ever goes to the North. I wonder why that is...only because Munich is so popular?

Most Americans are from/more-familiar with the south because that's where the majority of US-military bases are - probably also where the impression of stereotypical 'Germany' comes from; you know, Lederhosen, Oom-Pah-Pah music, etc.

When you say "customers", what exactly are you referring to?

I have no affiliation with the US military. My wife just happens to come from the southern part of Germany.

I work for an aircraft engine components manufacturer. We sell parts to a couple of companies in Germany.

If I had to guess I would say there is only about 500 in my wife's village.

I'm from Frankfurt, quite a few military bases around there as well. Or at least there used to be, I think they closed a majority of them by now.

One of the first things my husband wanted to see in Europe was Rome.
