worshiping false god's.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

GWB was gay for him, Obama thinks he's God. Which is worse, being a Saudi buttboy or worshiping false Gods?

Being from the UK I find your opinion about this matter bordering almost on paranoia, I don't know why, maybe the recent election result has left a bitter taste in your mouth, just like it was for the Liberals in 2000 whereas their disappointment was probably much more justified. Or was it as soon as Obama got in you were determined to lay into him and never give him a chance??

FYI it has only been 3 months since Obama took Presidency, the USA and the World are in the worst economic recession since the Second World War. What are the Republican supporters offering? Bickering, moaning, nit-picking in anyway to try and bring down their current President. Personally I can't understand it, you should be trying to offer solutions to the problem at hand not criticising any suggestions that are being made by the party opposite.

Just want to see a bit of perspective on these issues, the USA had an economic slump under Reagan in the early 80s, guess what? It took Reagan 18 months to turn that around, Obama has barely had 3 months and you expect him to perform miracles. I like to think most Americans will give Obama the benefit of the doubt until he's had at least two years inside the White House.

Bet Fox News, the piece of trash it is are blowing this all out of proportion, at least they are only feeding this nonsense to their own gullible supporters. What a joke that news station is. :)

I think it's normal to respect their way of authority. Just like foreign ministers bowing in front of the Japanese Prime Minister. Just a way of greeting people. Similar to handshake.

If Saudi was at war with the US, this type of behavior wouldn't be acceptable I'd say.

Ah yes, carry on focusing your attention elsewhere rather than address the truth. You hate your POTUS and you are constantly looking to put him down.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The right wingers called anyone who opposed Bush unpatriotic, yet they hang on every word Obama speaks & scrutinize every movement he makes in an obviously bias & partisan effort to discredit him. If that isn't hypocrisy I don't know what is.

As for the alleged bow there is basically 3 takes on this: 1. It wasn't a bow, 2. It was a gesture of respect or 3. He screwed the pooch. Personally I have mixed feelings about the matter & believe it's a mixture of #2 and #3. However the blatant partisan BS from the right is in my opinion as much or more appalling then the "bow" itself.

As for the suggestion that many of the right wingers have made that Obama's policies "bow" to our adversaries I disagree with that. The Bush doctrine (for the 3% of right wingers that actually know what that is) was by any objective standard an almost complete failure, so I concur with a foreign policy that relies more on diplomacy & less on saber rattling (and I am a field grade officer in the Army with tours in Bosnia & Iraq, so if you want to play the liberal card on me just go ahead & put it away).

Yes it is much more comfortable to pursue the English are inferior line than address the reality that you can not stand your own president which is why you choose to interpret anything he does in a negative light.

I have a lot more respect for him than you do, and he is not my president. Shock, horror. I respect him enough not to believe he deliberately insulted the office of president. Wow, how unbelievable is that?

You have absolutely zero knowledge of my respect level for the prez. Your comment is pure speculation based on what ... your feelings? what you think I feel? you have powers to read peoples minds via the internet?

Are you projecting again? :o

The difference is (and I have said it many times) is that the right wingers started bashing Obama before he was even in office. Most Americans starting bashing Bush when it became obvious that he is simply an awful President (his approval ratings early on were somewhere around 60-70% and it ended up below 30%). Now I'm not saying that Presidents should make decisions to be popular, but the majority of Americans felt that the Bush administration made decisions that weakened our country in many ways (particularly economically & foreign policy wise).

Another thing to keep in mind is that the majority of right leaning VJ posters here are far right, so one has to consider their comments as non-representative of most americans (e.g. Obama's approval ratings are above 60%, but if you listened to the right wing bias you would think that he is 2 days away from being impeached).

As for me personally I thought Reagan was a great President & Bush Sr. was at least average, so I judge Presidents more on their actions & less on their party affliation. Now with that being said I do see a significant decline in the Republican party, with a move towards extremists like Rush Limbaugh & putting partisanship above the needs of the country. I'm not saying that democrats don't do this as well, but it's much more pronounced on the right side of the fence.

It is not a case of Obama can't do any wrong, it is a case at this moment in time BOTH parties and its supporters should be backing and supporting their current President to the hilt. Yes Bush got slaughtered and rightly so but those opinions and remarks are based over two Presidential terms (8 years). History will judge whether Bush was a good President or not and Obama like all of his other predecessors will undergo the same scrutiny. However that time isn't now, give him two years minimum, if the Economy is in bad as a state then by all means criticism is justified.

Using this incident (about bowing to the King) to criticise Obama with is very petty. It just brings the deep underlying bitterness to the surface even more and the poll about whether he should be impeached because he did that is just plain laughable. There are far more important things to worry about at this moment in time.

Being a Brit, I don't have a party affiliation in the USA, not yet anyway ;) but that is exactly how I see it. Reagan in my opinion was a good President but hearing McCain during the election going on about him was cringeworthy. Hello John, here and now please?! Bush Senior, yeah average, Clinton good and Bush lastly not good at all. Obama who knows?

Well McCain ran a clean campaign in 2000 & got dragged through the mud by the Karl Rove sleaze tactics, so he figured that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em & he ran a dirty camapign in '08. The problem was the American public had their fill of negative politics & it backfired. McCain also had to deal with being associated with a very unpopular President (Bush) & after the initially postive effect of selecting Palin as VP that also backfired when americans found that she was more gimmick than substance. McCain is a POW and a good man, but he had too many things working against him in '08 (some self-imposed & some not).
