The UK and Australia are just run of the mill regular countries. They are not America.

With all due respect..."trashing" other countries with this kind of remark merely points out your lack knowledge regarding both aforementioned countries.

He is right. There's nothing extraordinary about the UK or Australia. They are hardly a blip on the map.

Really... please tell that to the British and Australian troops who have in the past and are currently in combat zones with American troops....

No offense, but our American troops would squash your tiny brit troops like ants in a heartbeat. You brits are lucky we let you be our allies or Hitler would have owned your arses long ago.

I thought the Americans defeated the British along time ago.

Didn't Mayor Julianni of NYC on 911 get knighted by England as well? He had to bow in front of the queen.

he's not the president, so who freaking cares?

It's kneeling, not bowing, not that it matters.

England is prejudice towards Asians. Have anyone heard an Asian getting knighted?

Yes... Ahmed Salmon Rushdie - just for one off the top of my head...

Yep. That's why they like to sit around eating crumpets and tea from tiny cups. We took the fighting right out of them. They never had a Revolution of their own...still bow before a Monarchy like we're still in the Dark Ages. Come on.

lol... ok ..if you want to believe your version of history so be it.... it isnt nearly as clear cut as you seem to think... Britain was already in a war long before the Americans deemed it necessary to join in the fight against Hitler, only when it served America's interest did the US join in.... when we asked for help American's didnt want to know... much the same as when the Falklands war broke out.... the American ambassador was too concerned about keeping in with the Argentine government.

I believe you owe a debt of gratitude to the French for your victory over the British for your independance?

And to a certain French pirate, in a later war, for a battle fought after the British and Americans came to terms over what that indepence meant for American sailors.

By the way, who were the British backing in the Civil War? Not the northern manufacturing concerns, I bet!

I agree that France is a much better ally than Britain has ever been...if that's what you are saying. I just hate it when the British act all high and mighty with their tiny tea cups and their snobbery like we owe them our gratitude for colonizing half the world. I see them more like a cancer that needed to be cut out. I suppose it's best to keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but you Brits better watch yourselves because we'll put the smackdown on you so fast, you won't even have time to say, "God save the queen!"

And this just shows the reasons Americans are despised the world over. It's got sod all to do with Presidents Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, or whoever. It's people like you, ordinary American idiots, who like to look down their noses at everyone else and think that they are better. You poor, sad, deluded chump.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

As a point of reference please note that Obama didn't bow to Queen Elizabeth during his meeting with her.

A video is worth a million words.

Pretty big difference between that minor head bob and the genuflect he did to the Saudi King wouldn't you say?

Having followed this thread since it started, Gary captured the issue as highlighted above.

Diplomatic protocol is the issue here, and in this case, Obama dropped the ball.

Despite the partisan inferences, this is purely about the US President and official protocol with respect to foreign dignitaries. Period.
