CRIS received Fingerprints.....

Hi!

I was wondering if anybody knew what would follow. I called CRIS today, regarding my EAD/I-485 applications to get an update on my Status. The first Operator transferred me to another Officer(presuming one who had access to my case) who told me that even though I was unable to view my case online, it was being processed and said, he could see that my I-485 file had recently received the finger-printing record. I am assuming the Biometric background check went through. Does anybody have any idea, what that means. Should I be hearing from them regarding the EAD/I-485 now. Am past day 74 since my AOS application and had my Biometrics on March 13, 2009.

wow thats good that they said that to you. Which number did you call. I had my biometrics in cincinnati and got my NOAs from Missouri Service Center.

ALso from your timeline ,it seems that that you are being able to track I-130 from the numbers given at your NOA 1. So what does your numbers start with. I am still waiting for my numbers to come with NOA 2. My NOA numbers start with MSC, thus I am not being able to track them onoine.

I called the same 1-800 number. Had my Biometrics in NY and got my NOA's from MSC. I had applied for the I-130 a month before i sent out the AOS package and unfortunately never got the NOA for the I-130. Apparently its USPS who probably lost my mail. Had to call and get the Receipt Number. It was after a while I found out that My I-130 case was at Vermont which was transferred to California Service Center. So, i just have the transfer NOA letter. All my NOA's have the same CRIS number, so am not sure if anybody got a number different where they could reach for a case update. On the CRIS website, I am able to view my I-130(Starting with EAC), I-765(MSC) and I-131(MSC). My I-485 is still not viewable online. Which seems to be the case with all the applicants I see around here on VJ.

Don't know how much longer they are gonna take after receiving the Fingerprints, which I am assuming, came through from the FBI office.

Nope till now nothing .... I had mine on 2nd April. So I think its a bit too early to expect. ALso all 3 receipt numbers in my case ( for I-130, I-485 & I-765 ) begins with MSC. Thus I am not being able to track anything. So received a number ( begining with EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC) with your NOA 1 only ??

Yes, Its a bit early for you, but I have seen online touches the very next day of biometrics on many of the timelines on VJ. Hopefully yours will come through sooner. Since I had filed the I-130 earlier, my Receipt Number started with EAC. The rest of the Applications being I-485/I-131/I-765 start with MSC. I am able to access all but the I-485 online. Called CRIS yesterday and asked them about the situation as to why, I am unable to view the I-485 online. Their reply was that its nothing to worry about. They are lagging behind on uploading cases and my case is being processed as we speak. SO..........

Immi 007: Best you register with USCIS. Its simple and easy to track your AOS application if you are lucky and have it online. Most people do. You seem to be moving faster than the normal timeline for most of us. Congrats and good luck.

Yes same for me ......called them today .......1st operator passed me on to a 2nd whom seemed to have access to my case. He told all 3 of my applications are now being processed and the background check is being done .... they told me to recheck after 1.5 weeks or so. Not before that. When i asked will i be able to see my status online soon ? he sais " I cannot tell that to you sir. May be yes, may be no. But do not worry if you dnt." Thus I think we will all have to wait. :hehe:

Saspak thanks for the reply and for being with me. NOw seeing your timeline I am not understanding something. Why did you sent the I-130 package and I-485 package seperately and on different dates ? I-130 was sent on 11-26-2008 while I-485 was sent on 01-15-2009. BUt since you sent the I-485 its not even 3 months. I am thinking you are saying 5 months from I-130. BUt i think they have recieved your I-765 for not even 3 months. I think some of the delay in your case has happened mostly due to name correction request and plus as i have read VSC is sper slow due to a lot of backlog. But as now the representative has said you the case is moving. I am sure we all will be fine. Let be in touch.

Hi there,

I was just wondering how you got to talk to an operator. When i choose option 2 i get to key in my number and everything is automated after that. I was wondering did you not key in your number and thus get through to an operator?

Also they are sending me for fingerprints for a 3rd time which i didn't htink happend, I thought after 2 you went to the local police station?

The most frustrating thing is not having someone to talk to in USCIS about this.

Anyway congrats :)
