I-94 expiry date and other I-485 questions

my I-94 has my date of entry but NO expiry date: the I-485 asks for the expiry and i don't know what to put - should i just put the expiry date on my VISA instead?

part 3 of the I-485 asks what status i entered on, one of the examples being 'exchange alien' - is this the term i should write, given i am here on a J-1 visa? or is it best just to write in "J-1"?

is my N0/SEVIS number the number i put for 'nonimmigrant visa number' (pretty sure it is, but starting to get paranoid about making little mistakes)?

What are you adjusting from?? If a K-1 simply add 90 days to the date of entry and note that.

Hi, I was on J-1 too. Your I-94 expiration date is on your DS form... check it. most likely it`s the same as your visa expiration date. My was the same.

Just write J-1. on some applications i also added "Exchange Visitor".

and your nonimmigrant visa number IS the visa number. it`s on your visa printed in red in the lower right hand corner of your J-1 visa.
