Oh, what a great life they are leading, I really want to be one of them just to get money for nothing - NOT!

They are sad people, sad because they are missing out on what life has to offer. Chip butties? Pah!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

30K is barely enough for one person to live on in the UK, let alone a family of four.

"They weigh a combined weight of 83 stones." I just learned recently that a stone equals 14 lbs. So they weigh a combined weight of 1,162 lbs. Most elevators could hold them.

There are a couple of commuters on my morning bus who are probably heavier than them.

so rather than give them more money - cut back on the money, they'll not be able to buy as much food, and voila, they'll be able to work.

We have cereal for breakfast, bacon butties for lunch and microwave pies with mashed potato or chips for dinner," Mrs Chawner told Closer magazine.

"All that healthy food, like fruit and veg, is too expensive. We're fat because it's in our genes. Our whole family is overweight,"

That's ####### - "healthy" food isn't expensive at all. Its actually more expensive to buy processed ####### like pies and microwave meals.

They've probably never set foot in a produce section, or they're hiding behind their own laziness to avoid seeking it out and trying something new.

I mean... how much does it cost to buy the ingredients for lentil soup? Or a chicken stew?

Dead cheap and the easiest thing in the world to make - though presumably to a person who has never chopped carrots or peeled potatoes in their life - starting now after 40 years of sedentary lifestyle is probably a bit of a chore. Imagine - actually taking the time to prepare and cook a meal yourself...

But why bother.... because it means eating at 6:30pm instead of 6pm. Oh the humanity...

I think too fat to work may also include too fat to work out. The Dad has other medical complications and one daughter also says they all want to lose weight but they don't know how.

I think people hide behind health problems - surely its just a case of seeing a doctor and finding out what sort of exercise the guy can safely do. Few people wouldn't be able to manage a 2 mile walk - so its not like anyone would expect him to jump into marathon training. Even if you have some sort of leg/foot injury there are still other things you can do for cardio - handbikes for example.

If that's accurate about the daughter - my guess is that she probably hasn't tried. I mean... its pretty elementary dietwise - low fat, low sugar, low salt, no red meat and a lot of fruits and vegetables.
