Here is my situation. I sent to my application to Vermont and they received my I751 on 12/29/08. I have not heard from them so I called to the 1800 # and they soon sent me a "non-delivery" type letter with one-year extension on 02/12/09 which allows me to travel and work.

As of today I still have not received my Biometric Appointment (almost two months). Should I call them again to check what is going on? I called to the 1800 # last time but this Indian agent from USCIS was very rude to me. Is there a better way to ask question regarding to my Biometric appointment or should I keep waiting?

Thank you

Ken

Should not wait. Called again to the "mis-information" line and pray for better luck to have a better agent answer the phone, and insist politely and patiently to speak with a supervisor or higher up and reiterate that you want to get it resolved if the first person answer the phone is not willing to help. It's not normal for no biometrics letter after 3 months even VSC is the "Very Slow Center". Or you can make an infopass appointment if it's not too much trouble for you, like not long drive and don't mind taking a day off from work. Sometimes face to face is better than requesting over the phone. From what I'm reading, you didn't get the original NOA and they have to send you another one, so it's highly possible that they've already send you the biometrics letter but you've never received it. You might have missed the biometrics appointment that they've set up for you and called your case abandon already, although we know this is none of your fault but you have to make the effort to get them kicking, it's sad that this is the way to deal with the bureaucratic government agency. By the way, no matter calling again or going to infopass, make sure they have your right address typed in. Hope that helps! Good Luck!

I called the 1800# this morning, the agent was very polite and she says she will send me another letter for the appt in 45 days. I knew sometimes was not right after I missed the NOA1... I was actually not comfortable dealing with the first agent knowingly he himself is almost an immigrant before us... the way he sigh on the phone and expressing attitude which have something to say about my verbal English. Anyway, thanks I hope they will reschedule the appointment for me within this 45 days.

But how soon can the info pass be done? Can I make the appointment in 2 days before I show up in the service center?

Thank you guys

Ken

My situation is this:

Filed I-751 in 11-1-2008

I Received I-797C, NOA on 11/20/2008 reads that check was cashed, wait for appointment letter for biometrics.

Up to now 4/23/2009 still no biometrics appointment, so I called the 1-800 number and was told that an inquiry would be done and should receive letter within 45 days. The lady I talked to was very polite.

Thanks,

Bruce
