Hi every one,

I'm preparing my financial info for I-134 for K-1 visa, should I also include Mortgage information, down payment and etc ?

is this too much information for them?!

If your income is sufficient - you do not need to include your assets (such as home) - if you do intend to include your home/asset, you'll need to show documentation of it's value versus how much you owe (what equity you have) - so a mortgage statement would likely work for part of that documentation.

Do you make enough money to exceed the guidelines from your job? My guess is if you have a mortgage, the answer is yes. If so, you do not even need to mention you own a house. Leave all the asset information blank.

If you must use your house, you must have a current appraisal to show value and a copy of your mortgage account to show balance and there would still be a good chance they would not accept the equity of your primary home. If at all possible, don't even mention the house. It opens a whole can of worms you do not need to open. Once you open a can of worms, you cannot put the worms back, you need a bigger can.

PS, now some people will post they listed their house and didn't provide an appraisal, yada, yada. These people also exceeded the income level and the assets weren't required, therefore making that incomplete part a moot point.

Bank statement showing automatic (or otherwise) withdraws will not have an affect on your I-134. Nor is it proof/documentation of an asset.

This is simple.

IF your gross income is above the guidelines for your family size, you do not need to list ANY assets, bank account, insurance, stocks, bonds or Elvis plate collections. List your income, provide a letter verifying employment, attach a couplke months check stubs and you are done. Leave all else blank.

IF you use assets, you must verify the net asset. For a home to be considered, you must have a current professional appraisal and a current mortgage statement. The difference is your equity. Your equity is then divided by 3 to calculate "value" for the I-134. THEN they have to decide if it is an asset that can be liquidated within one year with no substantial affect on the family. Where will you live if you sell your house? This is an asset that has to be replaced, so, often they will not include the value of your home anyway. A vacation home, yes. Rental property, yes. Primary house, not necessarily so. It just is not a place you need to go unless you absolutely have to.

If you make enopugh money to qualify for that mortgage, you make enough for the I-134

Really I don't want to open up a new can of worm, my income is above the guild lines, but another question, on m TAX returns it shows that I deduct mortgage interest rate, do you think they will ask about the house and etc?!

Stop worrying. If your income meets the requirements and you supply documentation to prove your income (pay stub, employer letter, etc.) you are fine.

No, they will not ask about your house and will not look on your tax return beyond the gross income, most likely. My tax return shows lots of things I did not list on the I-134. No questions asked. Also in an earlier post you asked about an RFE. You submit the I-134 at the K-1 interview stage, not at the petition stage.

Really, they ONLY care that your income meets or exceeds the guidelines. Whether by $1 or $1 million.
