Hello i just wanted to see if anybody could help me understand what really going on. I been emailing the Embassy and they say our case is undergoing necessary administrative processing and that there's no problems & nothing wrong. LOL So i called the DOS and they said i was waiting security clearance and today i called them to see again and said the same thing and i asked them if our case was still in Cairo and she said NO it in the USA. :crying: What does this mean??? I don't think this is a good thing! I have people tell me it just for the name check but we don't know what really going on! We are so scared and very confused! I hope maybe somebody can let us know good or bad! Thanks so much!

NO there was no time frame on our paper! Am going to to call the DOS again tomorrow and ask more questions about if it was our paperwork or his name clearance!

Was there an estimated time frame on the paper?

My husbands paper said 'approximately 4 months'.....sooooo inshallah soon :)

It is rather normal for men ( and some women, too ) to have AP going through Middle East / high fraud countries. Try to live your life as normally as you can until the visa is issued. If you keep calling DOS and e mailing the embassy a few times a week you will drive yourself nuts. Instead, call every other week and e mail the embassy twice a month. 0f course, it is your right to inquire several times a day if it makes ya happy, but it isnt necessary. You can get several different operators with several different answers several times a day.

There is no time frame when AP will be completed. Weeks, months, God forbid a year or over.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I agree. Don't keep calling. Just be patient. I mean, when Tarik was waiting, it seemed like we would never ever be together. I heard it took 6 months, 3 months, a year etc... but it was ONLY 10 days :) I can't stress it enough. Just relax :) It will happen soon enough and you'll laugh at how you were freaking out. I know I did.

*AP in Morocco is often although certainly not always much quicker than Egypt, which is kinda known for its long AP. Christie, search this forum and read around, you will find several topics where this subject has been discussed at length. The upshot is pretty much that AP is a big black hole standard for most MENA males and you really have no way of knowing or finding out how long it will last. So like others have said, the best strategy is to (if possible :)) find the patience within yourself to sit it out. Often calling and emailing a lot just makes it more frustrating and seem longer.
