PSHUBRK, HAOLE,LARS,BLUE,

Thank you for sharing your views on our case.

We have been reading LingChe shortcut and definitely will do it since i decided to go for CR1. For now, i guess it wont hurt if we let the K3 processed at USCIS while waiting our case active with NVC.

Thank you again...........and GOD BLESS.

My husband filed for K3 at CSC and fortunately I-130 was approved in 28 days. He's been calling NVC everyday for a case number and got the same response, well yesterday it was not his day 'cause NVC live operator was not in good mood and he was told .............did u read the 797 approval notice? that will answer to all your question...so wait as per the notice..............(sigh).........hehehehe....bummer!...now we decided to wait for 90 days before calling NVC again and if we get our case number sooner, it would be a miracle. however its very frustrating though.

Be thankful for your quick approval with the I-130. You don't need to incessantly bother the operators. I have found that the AVR is usually updated 24 hours after the event... people wait months, 24 hours, isn't that long. You can't do much of anything in 24 hours anyway to further your case. I was approved and it took 10 days before it was entered in to the NVC system and a case number assigned, 11 days before AVR indicated this. Let the operators deal with people who actually need them. If you have a problem and need the operator's help, you will hope they are not gumpy because they have been dealing with people incessantly calling all day about things indicated on the AVR...

Hope you get your case number soon. You are on a quick path.

Take care,

Noi

PSHBRK AND HAOLE,

Happy Easter.

We got approval of our I-129F (K3)...........Since we are pursuing CR1 from my approved I-130, how can we cancel or drop the approved 129F?...should my husband call the NVC or USCIS and inform them that we want to pursue CR1?

Well, its very agonising coz we dont have a case number for our approved I-130 but surely it will be soon..........we are new to this and we really appreciate if you can guide us how to go about it. We want to drop our 129F before they send it to Manila Embassy...........pls guide us.......

God Bless.

Let the K3 go to USEM. You can cancell later if you want. Doesn't hurt to have it as a backup.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

I am in the same situation as OP. I just received my I-130 NOA1 this past thursday and was just about to send in my I-129F for K3, then i realized i don't have my letter of intent from my wife, silly me :D

Now, i am wondering if i should just stick with the CR1 route instead of sending in the I-129f or have my wife send me a letter of intent and send out the I-129F. From what i understand, sending out both the I-130 and I-129f can be good since if one get's approved before the other than you can pursue with the approved one. While i've heard some say that having both the CR1 and K3 will just making more confusing depending on which route you choose to take.

To me either way is fine, but there seems to be a lot of people who say the CR1 is faster, while others say the K3 is faster. I'm just worried if i send in the K3 and want to pursue the CR1, it might make things more confusing.

Any suggestions?

PSHRBRK & HAOLE,

Both petitions were approved and still no NVC case number? I-130 was approved last March 13 2009 and I-129F April 06,2009. Any idea why they did not give us a case number for both? Its very frurstrating, people on AP or AR....they have their case number......we have no clue what so ever...AVR and live operator say the same answer..............

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you need a letter of intent for K3 (you are already married).
