Atif asked first tohave the interview in Arabic because he had a problem with pronouncing some words and then she asked him how we communicated....he told her in English....she then said "then we will have the interview in English....Then after she ahd that part done she turned around and conducted the intervoew again in arabic with a translator exact same questions with Atif answering in English. And one question Re: my parents [both deceased] the translator told the interviewer that they lived in a town...and Atif told her that "I didn't say that....I said they are dead...not in this life".......so the translator got caught in a lie too.

Then she continued to ask him how many times I had been married [this is my first and his first too] and how many kids I have [just 1] and she asked him MANY MANY times those questions about my son and marriages....and each time he gave the same answer.

The decision was made WAY before he even had the intervioew....I'm sure of it.

ANYWAY.........the lawyer is on it and so is the senator's office --the senator started yesterday and the lawyer had to do some research b/c he's never had a case denied before and neither has the other one he works with and that guy has 25+ years in Immigration Law......I'm doing all I can. And saving all I can too.

But the worse thing is my kid........he was talking to Atif tonight and all happy then remembered that he got denied.....not good is all I can say.

Wow Mary! It seems like she was trying to trip him up to find a "legitimate" (I use that word real loosely) reason to send it back.

I am so sorry and I pray you get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Oh Mary!!! I'm so sorry for you and your son, as well as Atif.... this is just so wrong, so undeserved, so hateful. How can they do this???? I just don't get it, why even bother bringing someone in for an interview if they've already decided to deny the petition? They are playing w/ our lives here as well as our emotions. It's so unfair. I really hope this can be rectified and you can be reunited soon. Be strong and make thru each day, one at a time. You know we are all behind you and here for you - even tho sometimes that doesn't seem like much - we are here!
