I judge those shows more by their audiences than by the presenters. I was home sick the other week and caught an episode of The View - really quite appalling stuff.

My wife just me told how yesterday she offered the "handicapped" facilities to a woman using a wheelchair. She was sternly corrected, and told that the proper term is "disabled". I just did a little research, and the proper term seems to be "person with disabilities". Even further, there seem to be some further distictions required, and now the preferred term becomes "physically challenged", to differentiate from "mentally challenged" or "developmentally challenged".

It is a murky subject Mr Bill. If you have some kind of disability, I am sure there are ways you wish to be perceived that have nothing to do with the challenges you face.
