May Interview Anyone?

Hi,

My case was completed on 3/30/09, so I assume I will get a May date. I'm a little confused when the NVC is actually scheduling interviews. Half the operators say they are doing it in the week of April 6-10, and the other half says April 13-17. Does anyone know for sure and did anyone get a May date already?

The only thing I was able to find out is NVC will be open on April 10 despite being a holiday, so it's not going to be a short week for them. The operator I just spoke to said she is pretty sure they will wrap up scheduling for May by April 10. So I'm very confused, just want a confirmed date in May, any date.

Anyone?

HSB - here's another data point. I talked to an NVC rep yesterday and asked about their interview-scheduling process, despite not having my case approved yet. The rep said they schedule interviews during the second week of every month. Interviews are typically scheduled for the next month (e.g., second week of April is April 6-10, so your interview should be scheduled for May 6-10).

I am really hoping my case gets approved this week, so I can be scheduled now, as opposed to waiting for the next interview-scheduling session in the second week of May. I am pretty sure you will have your interview scheduled by the end of this week. Good luck.

Great thanks. I heard the same thing you said from some reps, while others have said April 13-17 since that is the full 2nd week, so still going to be confused until a date is confirmed. But don't think the interview will actually be on May 6-10, it could be any date next month depending on embassy. My embassy normally has interviews on 2nd or 3rd mondays, so maybe 11th or 18th.

Hope you get your case complete soon. I remember you got a RFE, was it a false RFE?

No, it was a valid RFE. I already responded and the NVC has all (I hope) documents now. It would be great if the case is approved this week, so I can get an interview date along with the approval. :D

Agreed hniHnitsuJ, I'm confused too. Lately, I've been stressed about getting a case completed on time for 2nd week of month interview. But then I read about a case like yours. I hope all the buzz about scheduling interview in 1st or 2nd or whatever week of the month is not strictly followed by NVC. I am guessing, they are probably scheduling interviews as embassy has slots. Maybe for embassy that always gets their interview dates filled up fast, 2nd week scheduling statement is true... Not sure, a completely wild guess here...

I woud guess 2nd week of April is the deadline for May interviews. (still not sure if 2nd week counts as April 6-10 or 13-17, but that's anotehr story). End of 2nd week of April is basically when they stop scheduling for May.

But that doesn't mean they schedule all interviews for May in 2nd week of April. Of course if the embassy has a slot open and not enough people, NVC will schedule you right away, that's what happened to hniHnitsuJ .

There are no start date to schedule interviews for a month, but there is an end date when they stop scheduling interviews for a particular month and move on to the next month.

Anyone?

I do understand the issue my brother. Sad but true, this process is very time consuming. We, almost all most all of us have gone through this. As long as your case is complete, hopefully you will get to hear from the NVC soon may be with in 2 to 3 weeks. They will send you an e-mail. So until then hold on…..

Dear HSB,

My speculation says you will get a date on 18th or any of the later Mondays...Cuz, We all were moved from 20th to 27th and US Embassy Dhaka is really very slow....don't expect a date to be scheduled before the second day of second week of this month by the NVC(Although I am pretty confused which one to count as the 2nd week or April!!!)..But anyways.. Good Luck..Remember, once u were thinking that u gonna get your interview probabely on June/July but it is going to earlier than that time frame...This is how VJ is making our like more comfortable...Thanks to VisaJourney ....

Sonia
