I believe there are some forms/documents that are needed in duplicate... problem is, I'm not sure what they are! Help!?!?

DS160 app and conf page x2 copies

DS156 x2 copies

DS156k I did 2 copies just in case.

The rest of all your documents, passport, bc, I134etc..., proof and supporting docs, is just one copy. They want to view originals, and then you leave them with their copy.

:)

Thanks, PopRocks!!!

Mine were b&w and were accepted. If there is anything on the back of a certificate, remember to photocopy both sides.

Yep, got that one covered!

This week is my Spring Break and since I'm not at work (aka school) I don't have all of our forms/docs here at the house. So, I'm sure I'll be double checking everything on Monday evening!!! Tuesday evening I drive to London, ON and Wednesday morning, we board the train for MTL! OMG... I can't believe all of this is happening!!! Wooo hoooo!!!!! :)

Ok, I am confused...need advice!!

The DS160 the one we filled out online when we sent back P3 back, correct? DO we need to fill it out again? Also, I have visited the US one more time since DS 160, so would I need to fill it out again because it has changed a bit??

AND, I am an idiot!! I only have pages 1, 2, 3 out of 4!! I have NO idea what is on Page 4 of 4 on the DS 160! No idea where it could be. What is on that page? Should I print out a while new one, with page 4 this time ;) and bring ALL of the ones I have completed???

Last thing .... :P

We have the DS 156 that we were told not to sign and bring with us from out P3. So, we have to do a different one online and bring both?

Thanks all! Don;t worry, we are almost done ;)

Certificate of what?

Such as a birth certificate - there's an embossed stamp in the corner. Copy the back to ensure that the embossed stamp can be seen from the back view of the copy. That way, they know that you copied the original with the embossed stamp.

Any certificate - there was something on the back of my fiancee's divorce certificate that I almost missed copying. I suspect everyone's birth and police certificates probably look different too - mine were one-sided but that might not apply for everyone else.

Hi Carrie,

I'm not sure about the DS160 - I know you don't have to redo to update it, but if you don't have all the pages it might be a good idea to redo and reprint. I brought two copies of the DS160 - she passed one back to me, and put the other one off to the side. All the work she did was on the DS156 (which is very similar, the DS160 was supposed to replace the DS156 but I think there might be some kinks).

It was the DS156K that was sent with package 3. Definitely bring that, unsigned. The DS156 is a different form, and be sure to complete it and bring two copies with you. I downloaded it from the US Dept. of State web site.

Don't worry about a recent trip to the US. I mentioned that I was in the US the weekend before my interview so it wasn't on my forms. She just waved her hand at me and said she was surprised I had listed as many trips as I had.

DS156K- bring with you unsigned to interview

DS160- was to be completed with P3... they are more concerned with barcode of the confirmation page. I don't think a missing page 4 would be an issue, as someone mentioned recently, they never asked or took a copy of the app portion, just the conf page.

DS156- to be completed with P4... 2 copies brought to interview.

The package that was returned with P3 was the 230.

Hope that helps :)

Petitioner tax filings

Just a question about that part ... Maybe I am way out of base but do we need to bring tax filings ????

I know they ask financial proofs like income, bank deposits, employer letter etc for the I-134 but I did not see anywhere where they ask for tax filings

Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

For what I understood it is not needed for the interview. Most of the people just brought the last W2 (2008) and that was enough.

But apparently the past 3 years tax filings or IRS transcripts might be needed for AOS.

I'm getting tax filings, because this is all we have. My fiancé is self employed, so we will not have an employment letter or W2....plus we will already have it for AOS...

IRS transcripts have yet to arrive :( we are calling Tuesday to have them faxed, if not rec'vd by then. I'm getting nervous!!! This is the one aspect that I feel could delay our visa!!!! And my fiancé is so calm it drives me bonkers!!! Lol'!
