Sweety got her welcome letter last week (No interview). AOS approved and 3 weeks until she gets her Green Card.

What can Sweety do with this card? Can she work? Can she travel outside the U.S.?

We did not sent paperwork for EAD or Travel document.

March 21, 2008.....NOA 1

May 27, 2008........NOA2

June 19, 2008.......Delbros Paid

June 30, 2008.......Medical (Passed)

July 18, 2008........Interview (Passed, Pink and White slip)

Sept 17, 2008.......Recieved Visa

Sept 19, 2008.......CFO at St. Mary's

Sept 22, 2008.......Travel to USA, POE Honolulu, Late night arrival to Las Vegas

Sept 23, 2008.......MARRIED

Sept 25, 2008.......Left Las Vegas driving home

Sept 26, 2008.......Arrived in El Paso, Texas

Both! Congratulations. She can also purchase firearms so be on good behavior. Within the USA a GC holder has pretty much the same rights as a citizen except voting and petitioning fiancees. :)

If she previously needed a visa to travel to another country she will still need a visa but it is much easier to obtain as a US resident. Also her green card is all she will need to travel to Canada, Mexico and Carribean Islands. We live close to Canada and my wife goes there 1-2 times per week and never has a problem with just her green card. She is also now eligible for student loans and grants, drivers lisence in every state (some allow it even before green card) etc. It opens lots of doors.

Congratulations!If her green card is good only for 2 years, she needs to file I-751 90 days before it expires. :thumbs:

+1 on the removal of conditions I-751. Congrats!!
