Do they sell new potatoes here? Mid-West?

I've been looking out for them for the past month or so, when they'd normally be available at home.

Is it just a later growing season or do they just not do it?

10th October 2007 - NOA1 issued

31st January 2008 - NOA2 issued

22nd May 2008 - Interview date

18th July 2008 - US here I come

22nd August 2008 - Wedding date

3rd December 2010 - I-751 Received

7th December 2010 - Cheque cashed

3rd January 2011 - Biometrics

Probably just out of season. They are common in the NE at least :)

01/14/2009 -- she flies to USA, stuck overnight in Frankfurt

01/15/2009 -- she arrives in USA

01/16/2009 -- proposed! she says YES!!! :)

02/14/2009 -- 6 days of bliss in Walt Disney World (6mo given on I94)

02/23/2009 -- sent I129F Next Day Air

02/25/2009 -- NOA1

03/01/2009 -- Touched

04/09/2009 -- She flies to USA for 9 day visit (6mo given on I94)

06/20/2009 -- She arrives for summer visit (6mo given on I94, warned about too frequent visits)

06/30/2009 -- NOA2

Note: petition processed thru NVC and sent to embassy in about 1 week :o

Note: got an initial interview date in Sept, but decided to put it off so she could extend her vacation here thru end of October

10/21/2009 -- She returns to Poland :(

12/01/2009 -- Embassy interview -- SUCCESS!! :)

i work a garden center in northern new england and we have had potatoes for about 2 weeks and we are getting another shipment this week. i would imagine that wisconsin is about the same zone as vermont so it should be getting to be potato (buying) time. we get a lot of potatoes from wood prairie in maine. they have good stuff!

you tend not to plant them TOO early, lest they get nipped. call your local garden center (not home depot or lowe's please!) and ask about the appropriate time for your area. i would guess it would be mid-may. (also you could try a farmer's market to see if they have seed potatoes for sale.)
