AP Question and Touched Status

Hey all, love this forum, been mostly trolling (apologies) since I filed my AOS papers on May 8, 2006. Here's my situation and would love to get some help from you guys.

I am currently in the US on an H1B work visa. I am married to beautiful US citizen (my college sweets). We filed for AOS at the beginning of May using a local attorney. At the same time we filed for an AP so that we can travel in August and September.

I am leaving my current job at the beginning of August since we are both moving from NYC to San Francisco. That means that I lose my H1B sponsor as of August 2nd (although the visa does not technically expire until next year). The trip is kind of an important thing because my wife is taking the bar exam and this is the only time we'll get to travel for an extended period.

My question is that I filed for the AP in May 8, 2006. Online, I've been touched a couple of times but the last time was June 3rd. Both online and on the phone state that the processing time for my type of case is 30-60 days. How accurate is that estimate?

If the estimate is accurate then I likely won't have to worry as I'll get my AP before having to leave on a trip at the beginning of August.

WE applied for AP along withI-485 and Work permit back in Feb...We were approved for AP & work permit a few weeks ago and also at same time , we got our interview date for next month.....
