When my cat had that, he was already about 11-12 years old and it was 'cus his teeth and gums were in really bad shape, after that he pretty much deteriorated, couldn't eat any solids and started losing a lot of weight. We did all we could but eventually we opted to put him to sleep since he was barely eating or drinking anymore and wouldn't even move from under the bed.

Your cat is too young for that but just saying that older cats can develop teeth and gum issues that cause bad breath.

Awww bless, the poor thing. I think that's what happened with Charles' cat as well.

Hopefully it's nothing to serious with Cleo. She eats well, she is fit and active, alert and doesn't seem sick. She wees normal and drinks enough water. So I am hoping it's nothing too bad. It would break my heart if something were wrong with her.

Could be she's eating out of the trash or found some dead bird in the yard to chew on? Sometimes their bad breath is just bad breath.

She is an indoor cat, only access to the wild she has is a little fake mouse. I feed her Sheba (wet) and Royal Canin (Feline Hair and Skin 33 dry food) - not from a golden bowl though.

I will just have to wait and see what the doc says. She is probably just a really beautiful cat with naturally bad breath.

That's her in my siggie, btw. :D

Hola osito

Man, I have an annoying day at work. I would like to scream for a bit and kick people in the shins.

Cleo and I are going to the vet tonight, after consulting VJ's crazy cat lady. Cleo has really bad cat stink breath, so bad, it almost kills me when she cleans herself on the sofa next to me. I hope it's nothing bad.

Hola Ardillita :luv:

oh poor gatita

What did they say you need to do, rewrite the program so they don't have to buy other software?

I've only heard stories of creepy guys on subways...I've never been on the subway so I don't know how it would really be.

Well, we are back from the vet. He took her out, looked in her mouth, said the mouth was fine.

Checked her file, saw she had fleas, said it could be worms. Gave her a shot.

Said that she seems fine and like a very healthy cat. Smelled her breath, said it was not worse than average cat breath and that some just have a harsher breath than others. Said that if I wanted a blood test, he would need to sedate her, since she is super agile. I decided to not do it for now. Or should I?

ohai....

I went to an idiotic "Retreat" yesterday, courtesy of the univ. of washington. i hate ####### like that , where i am supposed to be friendly to people i could not care less about. I am NOT a friendly person, they don't pay me enough. So after 2 lame sessions, i played hooky and hung out in downtown Seattle :P
