Are they in Kansas? If so it's 12:37 there now.

Yes :)

Thanks sweetie :luv:

Don't they realize we're all waiting here??

*edit to add* I looked it up, C-Sections are supposed to take about 20 min.

Mine took about 30 mins, the baby is usually taken to the nursery for a bit to get weighed, measured, cleaned up, etc. Then mom has to go into "recovery" for awhile, if it works the same as mine, I had to be able to move my legs or toes around to be out of recovery status(cuz ur completely numbed/paralyzed from waist down for the surgery). I couldn't see the baby again until after the recovery time period and then had to wait some more while they did tests on the baby. It took a couple hours!! :( Hopefully she doesn't have to wait that long, but I am sure they are kind of busy. lol.

Yeah let's see...since Nessa can't walk for another probably 10 hours or so, he will have to do everything needed to be done by a walker. lol

(When I say my c/s took about 30 mins, I mean beginning to end. But baby is out in like 5-10 mins, depending on the situation, if it's not a major emergency--in which case it would be even faster. But sadly baby left the room a couple mins after coming out and I got to say a quick hi, and Sujeet went with the baby and nurse into the nursery, while I had to wait getting all sewed back up-TMI. Kavi had to get testing tho because I had my long labor before the c-section and there was meconium in there with the baby, which is not good b/c it means baby is stressed and had his first poo inside which is a no-no. Of course he turned out fine tho. )

I am sure everything went fine. I hope they are happy. :)

Thanks for sharing your story Stina, I had no idea about the being paralysed from your back onwards! That must have felt so odd!!

Yeah it did! Before that, I had the epidural which made you numb but you could still move your legs. The thing (spinal block it was called I think??) for the c-section completely numbed me and I couldn't move my legs. They ask you to try to move your legs and they don't want you to be able to, lol. But that's also why they ask you to try moving them after surgery, while the stuff is wearing off. It took maybe 45 mins until I could wiggle my legs, but still couldn't move my toes lol.

One more thing that'll make ppl go ewwww is that we have pictures of Kavi coming out of me during the c-section. We did not plan it, I thought no way we aren't doing that! But Sujeet had his camera ready for the first shots of Kavi, and the Drs said to him you better take some pics now!! So he did. He wouldn't let me see the pics for a month because he thought I might get weirded out by seeing it myself. Turns out they were a tiny bit weird but nothing like I expected, no gory nastiness. :P

I have seen c-sections on TV and didn't think it looked so bad. A bit Matrix like maybe. I have also seen vaginal delivery on TV and that was pretty overwhelming!

Not sure what I would want for myself, but luckily I don't have to decide yet. :) Pedro dreamt of me being pregnant last night and is currently in breeding mode. I wish we could already be living together and be in a settled and good situation to have a baby.

eta: apparently I look lovely with a pregnant belly
