It's a holiday here as Nessa said, yay! But my fiance has to work. He's a mechanic for a high performance shop and the car they are working on has a race in Rio tomorrow (we are in Sao Paulo), so they aren't allowed to leave today until they finish it :(

But I'm off to the markets to have pastels! (fried bread filled with whatever you want really, meat, cheese, sauces, amazingness!)

OMG! I just ate a Krispy Kreme doughnut. It was so good!

I thought they went out of business? You sure it was fresh?

No way they went out of business! There are enough people in NC buying KK doughnuts to keep them in business. But yes, after eating that one I can verify with 100% certainty that it was very fresh. :D
