Speaking of, get this: turns out he does not like to visit his parents because: "well, my mom cannot cook and you can. so you bring the leftovers home, fix them, and I like them then". I felt like saying:

I think a lot of people have only had overcooked scallops. They are absolutely disgusting when they're overcooked. It's just a big rubbery blob that is not nice. If they're cooked right, they just melt in your mouth.

We don't eat scallops back in India and I tried out here for the first time at a chinese place (not a buffett :P) , didn't like it, never tried it again.

I think I get the sea scallops in some of the chinese meals I get. It's classified as one of the few veggies I eat.
