I think I might need to read that seed book! I presume that beets eventually flower and that's how you collect the seeds?

They are a biennial-- chard too. So yes, after the second season you'd collect the seed.

My workout would be rowing the gears on that 600 HP V-8. Great for the arms and it gives the feet and ankles a good workout too.

I just got a response from the seed company. He's all agog and wants to know if they are all like the sample I sent pics of. Sadly, I didn't have room to plant a huge number, but so far they are all the same. What happens though, if the rest of the packet are boring ordinary Bull's blood? Should I cry? Should I keep those stripey ones I still have (assuming they are stipey as they are not harvested) and run them to seed?

You grabbed a representative sample of seed from your packet, so I'd say yes, they are all like that. if you run them to seed is up to you

just found a baby squirrel outside - i think it fell out of the tree and was stunned by the fall. nessa got pics of the squirrel in my arms, she'll post that later for julie.

squirrel returned to the nearest oak tree and it climbed up it.

nessa how many hours will he spend at the daycare? just long enough for you to go to the gym or run errands?

well he can only start going there when he's 6 weeks old, which is monday. for now he'll be staying home with charles while i go work out. then for the next 6 weeks i'll leave him there for an hour, because my plan is not to do cardio at the gym, i'll do either here on my eliptical or i'll go for a walk with him in his stroller. then i go to the gym tyo lift weight only, which takes me 30-45 min.

then on july 6th i go back to work. i'll drop him off around 745am, i go to the gym n then to work. when charles is in town and not having his crazy night shifts, he'll pick him up in the afternoon, after 245pm, because i leave work art 6pm n his daycare closes at 6. when charles is not here i'll have to ask my boss to leave 7 min earlier, which we've discussed already and she understands. so he'll be there between 7-10 hours a day

I am glad everything worked out for you with the daycare. That would have been terrible, if you had to wait for a year. Now all works out.
