the way my mom taught me how to make it, the sauces are

1.- the usual marinara

2.- a spinach + ricotta

3.- 4 cheese + butter

so I guess #3 is kinda bechamele-ish

ok so it's layered without the noodles?

the way she makes it's like such:

noodle + spinach sauce + layer of noodle + butter sauce + layer of noodle + marinara/meat sauce so you cut it and it looks like the Italian flag.

now, when she's being exotic, she uses sesos for the white sauce. you do not want to know what that is.

oh ok so I layer mine similar to that. how would the "noodle" variety be done?

it's made with a pasta called lasagna and it looks like this:

in the states u call lasagna both that one i mentioned above and this one, that i'd call noodles with sauce:
