Our checks were cashed yesterday, April 13. I'm really hoping a letter is waiting for me after work today!

HEY AGAIN..

Same here.. Mailed out on the 6TH.April// Check cashed on 13th & Received NOA 1 EACH for I-485 AOS & for I-765 Work Authorization. My Hubby's here on H1 though. His I-94 expires on 30 Sept..09..Guess the AOS filing overtakes H1 Status..right? Or the EAD which he'll hopefully receive in 3 months..ie. June..

When did you receive your letter? As of last night when I checked the mail we have not gotten one yet. We are both waiting (not so patiently) for it.

Yes the AOS will replace the H1 status, but I'm not sure what will happen if your H1 expires before approval. Husband's O1 expires July 24 and we're not really sure what will happen if we don't know. His company had immigration lawyers look at our packet so I'm sure they will consult the lawyers on what to do with him.

Does the NOA letter come from the local office or Chicago or the CA service center? I guess that could explain why ours is delayed.
