Think about what must happen in that office - you have a bunch of workers, and every time they finish something and it's ready to send on to the embassy, it gets dropped into the box for that embassy.

So, yours may have been completed and ready to send out on April 6 (Monday). At the end of the day, (April 6), that box is taken over by shipping, and the pick up (with the weight etc) is ordered for the next day. The box is taped up, addressed and set out, ready for DHL to pick it up. Pick ups for the next day are NOT scheduled on Sunday, because no one works on Sunday, so no pickups get scheduled for Monday. It's just the way it is.

Meanwhile, the day changes. Now it's April 7 (Tuesday!), and your April 6 "to embassy" stuff is still at NVC, waiting for pick up. DHL picks up in the afternoons, so it sits there, taped up and ready to go, and it's not until the data from the initial pick up scan is uploaded that you'll be able to see it at all.

I found that it wasn't until the afternoon of the day after they said it was sent that it showed up. SOMETIMES the boxes are ready to ship early. Mine was on Monday Mar 30, and it shipped on Tuesday Mar 31 alongside the Mar 31 package.

I followed the EXP 30 MAR 2009A (picked up Mar 31). Seemed to get to the embassy OK.

Don't worry, it's getting closer to the pick up time on that side of the country, and you'll be able to see your Monday "left for embassy" packages soon!! ;)

Lili
