I remember the influx, the government said that they predicted only 100,000 new immigrants in the first year , ended up like 1,000,000. Do you think France or Germany had that any new Polish Immigrants? No. For some reason they all came to the UK for our cushy benfits/welfare.

Of course - immigrants only come to the UK/US to live off welfare benefits because they are too stupid or lazy to work.

There were lots and lots of Polish nationals working in Germany. It's not like the UK absorbed them all. Not even close.

If the Germans got more than the UK and lets assume that other european nations got their fair share too...Who is still in Poland? Whats their popluation?

At least the Pollocks are legal and somewhat vetted through the system. Not much of a consolation, but it is a step up from the insanity of the US open border policy of unlimited illegal immigration of unknown people whom we know nothing about. The jails in Houston are full of them.

Why is it better if they are legal? Legal or illegal most immigration drives down wages. At least if they aren't legal you don't have to pay out any benefits.

I was being facetious!

This is a recent article about the initial influx and the subsequent return of migrant workers from britain.

It is interesting because one Polish migrant had a Bachelors degree in Business but could not find anythin other than minimum wage work in an office. He said life in London was not as easy as he was led to believe. It also breaks down the type of work they were doing and it is mostly office/admin jobs.

Well, illegal immigration drives down wages more than legal immigration does, because illegals will work

for less than the minimum wage. Also, illegals avoid social security payments and other taxes (except

sales tax when they consume).
