Right now I am rotating between A Love Affair:The Music of Ivan Lins:

Covers of his songs by Sting, Vanessa Williams, etc. Ivan Lins is a wonderful Brazilian composer.

Also burning a hole on the Ipod is Selah's Hiding Place (contemporary Christian)

I get in weird moods occassionally and revisit old tunes of my youth. I recently saw the movie biography about Johnny Cash, dug out my old albums, and made a "best of" CD to listen in the car.

The other 5 CD's in the changer have a mix of the Offspring, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Green Day, Soundgarden, and compilations of old country tunes from the 60's and 70's.

I'll change the line up after I get burned out on it. I have a huge ecclectic mix of music and listen to whatever genre I'm in the mood for at the time. The first LP record album I ever bought as a teenager was by Steppenwolf.

As a rule, I'm a bit too old for rap. The closest I can tolerate is old Run-DMC (with Aerosmith) and Tone Loc. I also like to tune in to classical music on NPR.

We were at a party last week and the computer was down due to a storm...so the host had to play "CD"s and it was discussed like we were playing freaking records!!
