Saspak where did you call to ask and get all these replies ?? the normal 1800 number ?? as far as i have seen the 1st operator hands over the 2nd one, as he cdnt find the case online. The 2nd operator gives vague or no reply. How did you manage to talk to the higher officer ?? whats the trick ??

Yes, the usual 1-800 number. Normally they do give vague answers to cut the conversation short but at times, you can tell by the tone if the person on the other side is being co-operative. Thats when i fire away some extra questions. I usually get transferred to the Acual CRIS officer since the 1st operator isn't able t view my I-485 just as me. They are the ones that you should be asking more questions.

Thanks Bhai. Today i called the 1-800 number again. This time the person was really nice.... he said he cannot see the status of the I-485 or I-130 online but he did ask my zip code and then he said that Ohio-cincinnati is processing cases of Aug,2008 . So he said that he is sorry but I may get interview not before 5 months.......but then i can get the interview letter any time as he said the online time schedule of local office is not always right. Just wanted to update the group. Thanks

On May 15, 2009, we ordered production of your new card.

On May 18, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. yay.... now just have to wait for the mail to come.. I can't wait.. I need that to renew my license.. counting the days...

Our EAD case appeared online yesterday afternoon to say that production had been ordered on my husband's card too. After so many days of trying all our numbers with nothing, he almost cried when it popped up; the poor guy's been going a little nuts at home.

We still can't see I-130/I-485, but at least now we can keep busy with the SSN/license/job searching! Good luck again to everybody!

Hello everybody .I sent my AOS package in march too.I would like to join here .I have a question I hope somebody is able to help me .I sent my package by end of march and I got my NOA1 on april 3 .I did my biometric appoiment 2 weeks afther that .But for some reason I'm not able to check my status on the uscis website .I try to call to but they say that my number is invalid too.Is anybody know what is going on ?its normal .???Thanks

Hi mansur23! Thats strange. Since you have had the biometrics and did receive the NOA1, that means that your case is being processed and couldn't be invalid. Don't worry about your case being not viewable online. Every other applicant is facing the same dilemma. I can view my I-130, I-765, I-131, but cant view the most important application. The I-485 till now. I filed in Jan btw. Usually, if you can't view the file, the operator that talks to you when you go through the 1-800 USCIS number, can't view it either as they have limited access to the cases. What they do is they escalate your calls to a higher level and that officer is the person that has actual access to your case. The next time you should request them to escalate your call, and see what happens. Tell them that you have already had your biometrics, so there has to be a problem on their part. If not, schedule an Infopass and go to the Office yourself.

Interview letter received on May 26, 2009. It's scheduled for July 31, 2009. .. can't wait... I am so happy

Applied for Social Security card on May 27, 2009. Should arrive in the mail in two weeks..

Congratulations kpic! You have enough time to collect evidence and prepare for the interview. Am still waiting for my interview letter. My I-130 was touched yesterday though after almost 2 1/2 months.

Today, to my delight, I had a letter from USCIS waiting for me in the mailbox. The Blue logo put a smile on my face as I knew that it meant only one thing. The long awaited interview letter. And there it was. Got a date for July 21st, 2009. Best of Luck to all, including me!
