Hey all!

I know how you all feel, i feel the same...disappointed, i really wish we all are going to fly because the february filers flew!

I did put the date in the spreadsheet when they will based on the timeline on VJ that our I-130 maybe will be adjusticated between July 6 and july 25, i am almost sure that this date is changed because i really thought it was between july 5 and august 15?

Well it can't be soon enough!

Take care and try to keep busy and try to keep smiling!

Ok so I called USCIS and I found out my receipt number. The post office returned my NOA1 as undeliverable that's why I never got it. So luckily I called and I changed my address and they should be mailing me a new copy of NOA1. Once I got the recepit number I was able to file for an expedite and I got a email this evening saying:

The status of this service request is:

Your I-130 petition will be requested and placed in line for adjudication. Please allow 30 days for processing.

So we will see what follows from here. Hoping for a speedy approval.

That's awesome your husband is a Marine. They have really hard training sometimes. I'm a office worker in the army. USCIS has a hotline that military members and their families can use. I used to call using the regular hotline but once I used the military hotline I started getting alot more help and answers. The number is 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645). Call and see if they can help your case expedited.

Thank you for your help and such a quick answer! I will give this number to my husband and hope he can do something.

But i thought he already called a military line and they said, you need to go to your JAG on base.

My husband is a Marine but the Marine is a part on an aiforcebase so they fall under the airforce JAG right now.

So he went to the JAG but its really to bad this JAG can't help because they don't have enough authorization not so much as Marine Jags.

But soon i am going to skype with my husband and i will give him this number.

So did you call this line? Do you need to file some extra papers?

Well I am interesting! ;-) hihi...want to hear about fast flying petitions ;-) LOL

Hm I'm not quite sure about his situation. Is he in the US now? I'm stationed on an army post and we have a social services worker who is designated to deal with immigration. He does immigration of spouses, family members, and also naturalization. He is really good and on point. He helped me with my papers but he wanted me to file K-3 and my husband and I were against that. You know many people don't know how to handle immigration well so they always refer people to JAG as a legal issue. Do you know the name of his base? Maybe my social services worker has some contacts in that area.

When I called I talked to a woman who was very kind and friendly. Unlike the robots I got by calling the regular hotline. She asked me a few questions and told me she would send in my service request to CSC. I think it takes about 5 days to hear back from them. In some cases I heard people just fax them a copy of their military id, a letter from the commander, or deployment orders. Just one of them and in other cases I heard where they didn't ask for anything. Once I find out about my situation I'll let you know.

Hey! Thank you!

Hihi...maybe you will be good as military helpline of the USCIS ;-) Because you give an answer very quick! LOL! Well you are working as an office worker...maybe thats why ;-) LOL!You are right those people can act like robots and sooooooooooooo unfriendly!

We did put a copy of our military ID's with the I-130...so hopefully that helps!...

Well we don't have deployment letters, i know that can make the process faster. but i am happy he is home in the USA ;-)

Yes my husband is in the US. Its the Edward Airforce base in CA.

Hi Rianne,

I talked with the SS worker and he didn't know anyone out there. He said the Air Force usually uses JAG. The army has many non-citizen soldiers and also people who marry non-citizens so they have many immigration workers. So sorry we couldn't help with that. But there is always the hotline.

Thank You for your service to our country

As my boss would say "Don't thank me I'm just doing my job." ha. But no, thank you and all the people who support us and appreciate what we do.

Well I grew up in a military family and have members of my family on both sides, all generations, men and women representing just about every branch and multiple conflicts and wars. So I have a special place in my heart for all service members.

Best Wishes
