I saw on Igor's list that there was one person in April approved, but they had an expedite...

I think (and this is my opinion, I have nothing to back it up) that Feb and some of March went so fast because they were trying to clear the shelves for the influx of H1B visa applications. I sent mine in the beginning of April and I'm kinda thankful that mine didn't get lost (42,000 apps may not be as many as last year, but it's sure a ton) !!! I do wish I had sent it in earlier, though.

So I think we're going to have to wait a while for them to even look at our files...there are a bunch of people from March who are still waiting.

It still looks a lot better than the 6 month processing time the USCIS says. So that's good. Of course, I'm going to get a RFE 'cause I hardly sent any evidence in (didn't find this website before I sent the packet). We're really married, so it shouldn't take much, right? Wrong. Dang it.

Happy Wednesday,

Samantha

We barely sent anything.... just the standard Form I-130, a couple of pics, Marriage Certificate, Copy of Divorce Paper, G325. ugh... just barest minimum...so don't worry yourself for now. Keep praying for an Approval.

Hmm, even less, I think. I sent all of the required stuff, forms and money and passport photos, G325 etc - I'm really just worried about supporting evidence. I didn't send any pics (guess I thought that was more needed for the embassy), sent affidavits from my parents stating that they had met my husband at my sister's wedding, were aware of our relationship, that they knew we were married, etc. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's enough...but I doubt it. I don't think I'll be sad to get an RFE because I have a lot more things together now and can send them in quick, and then get approved. Thanks for the encouragement, though, maybe I'll get the same person you had and they'll let me through! :)

If they want a ton of info they should say so on the instructions, IMO - like, applications weighing less than .5lbs will not be approved, etc :-P .

we got ours 1 month and 2 weeks later. they won't tell you anything until your 30days is up.

ours never got printed, some computer glitch. Call them after 30 days and request for a copy. They'll send you one for free.

BUT you can get your cashed checked... look at the back.. there's a number stamped there.

starts either with WAC or EAC, then followed by numbers.

Take the last number and add 1 to it. i.e. 4+1=5.

so that will be..

WACXXXXXXXXXX

or

EACXXXXXXXXXX

you can log in to the uscis website using this.. this is your USCIS case number.

Good luck!

Are you certain you wrote the correct amount and other details on the check?

We called them before, what they told us is that they separate the check from the Form.

So the officer that will be working on your case will never really touch the check.

I've heard some people got their case back because of wrong amount in the check.

Call them again, ask why they never cashed the check.

Good luck!
