Thanks for letting me know Christeen, i always thought it wasnt until six months that i could call?

Thanks again, sweetcitywife

:star:

Being that you have hit the 5 month mark, you can call and file an inquiry into your case...

Nope... 5 months, I would statr a-dialin...

Should not have to wait 5 months when June filers being approved left and right!!!!! All those touches for us and nothing!!!! Not even an RFE. It just is not right they skipped a bunch of March and April filers. We will be at the 5 month mark Sept 27. Well we also got a touch today that is 5 now in the last week. Not sure what all that means how many times they need to look at it. Either RFE or approve it already. We need to move on soon. Sorry to complain on getting touches but still frustrating especially to the wife.

I totally understand, it seems that when they all left to do the work visas in April/May, when they came back, they went right to June and left the boxes of April and May still in the boxes.... Try to keep positive and think that they will get to them really soon, because looking logically (I know, it is not logical at the USCIS) but go with me here... logically, they should want a bunch of people filing complaints for being late and they do not want to have to report at the end of the year what happened as they are judged by performance and the number of approvals.... Soooo I really hope that they start rolling for the "forgotten ones". Best of luck

Salam Allykum everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that i took Christeens advice and called on Tuesday USCIS, and they took a request to review our case and confirmed it is out of their processing time. Than yesterday i received an email from them telling me that the reason our case is being delayed is because of my husbands background check, it hasnt come back yet and they cant make a decision yet until that comes back.

Than i checked my account page on their website yesterday and there was a touch, probably prompted by my phone call and the email they sent me. Now i just checked my account page again today and there was another touch, so i dont know what this means? They must of went back today and did some more work on our case again, which is better than when they were doing nothing and it was just sitting there.

They must send out for stuff when they first get our case when it is filed and just wait till everything comes back before they work on it again. Im not sure.

I recommend everyone make the phone call if you are out of processing time, also, it helps to find out what is going on at least. Monday was the fifth month date for us since we filed. And Christeen was right, you dont have to wait six months to call, when i called, the agent confirmed, that i was out of processing time.

Have a great weekend and take care and hugs, sweetcitywife

we still haven't received our RFE ,which was sent on August 22nd , according to the USCIS website. Since the mail system isn't that reliable on the boat that the letter might be lost, hubby called the USCIS ,asking them to send a new one. However, we were told to wait for more days , they wouldn't do anything until the original RFE was sent over 30 days

Jeany,

Ifs it been past 2 weeks since you were informed of the RFE AND your hubby has not received the hardcopy in mail, he MUST keep calling USCIS. This happened to me, they USCIS did not mail out the RFE, there was a computer glitch, USCIS thought it was mailed out but it was NOT. Tell Warren to keep calling till he has it, cause they give you a certain amount of time to answer RFE, and if they dont get your evidence they asked for, by the deadline date, well they will deny your case, then you have to start all over again. And we dont want that, this process is too hard as it is now. Oh Jeany, tell him to also email them , call, email , till they are sick of it.

Hugs,

Beth

eyedo i saw this post in another thread

it was from Paris Heart responding to someone who is yet to get the hard copy of their rfe

thank you so much! (F) It's really helpful. We've called a few times, I guess that's far from enough. We will have to keep calling, and I hope we still have plenty time to meet the deadline

They don't deliver on Sunday it is just when I got the mail I was away at a car show on Saturday. Amazes me 2 touches on a sunday and the NOA2 is dated on a Sunday though. Was really hoping not to have to get to see the new USCIS website and only got to see a bit of it fortunately. Nothing super special about Idaho except the lack of people which I like.
