Relative petition completions did drop in April to about 50,000. However, that was still 10% more than they received during the month. The drop was largely temporary as we shifted resources to handle an increase in other workload.

You mentioned that there isn’t any feedback. Our normal rules do apply, and if your petition is outside our case processing times our call center will take the petition information, and the service center will check the case and tell you why the case has not been processed.

To Whom It May Concern,

Wanted to know why there was such a big slow down in processing of I-130 forms at the CSC center? There isn't any feedback and the online case status tool doesn't update any information either. I understand that there are work visas being processed but does that mean that they put all other visas on hold while they process work visas?

Well we should start seeing us April filers getting NOA2 in the coming weeks , since the anticipated processing is with NOA1 date of April 3. Since the timelines has been updated, mine show NOA2 between June 20 and July 3. B)

Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get someone who will actually help you.

yep, I do agree with you. Both my husband and I called the military helpline. They were very nice, not really helpful though. I guess we didn't get the right person. So we may try again. However, since my husband is already underway, we will wait for one/two months to see what happens

Wish you good luck on your expedite from NVC ;)

My timeline says between June 4th and June 17th. I'm not holding my breath...there are still a ton of March people not approved.

I am getting my docs together just in case the government suprises us with a rash of approvals over the next few weeks, though!!!

Fingers crossed, I guess...

Rianne,

I think you should try calling again to get a military expedite. When I called all they asked for was the date and nothing else. I didn't send any mail, orders, or anything. They put in the service request on the 15th and I was approved on the 20th. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get someone who will actually help you. I'm trying to get an expedite from NVC too. We don't have individual orders only orders for the whole unit. So I got someone in my command to write a memorandum saying that. Still waiting to hear from them though......

Yes, maybe you are right and I should call again.

I just think it is so silly that it works this way, till you have the good person etc. They should have 1 line in all this and just help the military.

I know even when you aren't in the military you just want to be by the person you love but i think by military people is time together just very important because they can be deployed... My husband didn't got orders, his unit didn't get it either, but they are about the next, so maybe in 2010.

I hope you have a good journey through NVC and get an expedite there too!

Hope you get that memorandum soon! For us it can't go fast enough is it!

I forgot to ask, do you think it will help that i have been living in Morocco with my husband since Jan 11th? When he finally gets his interview he will show them my passport and that we have been living together since Jan 09. Do you think this will help us a little?

Thanks and take care, sweetcitywife

:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: just yesterday the timeline function reported that april 5 CR-1 apps were being processed and our application (April 7) is expected between June 1 through June 9. This morning it reports back something between July 11 to January 2010!

What the heck, I know the results are crunched stats from members, but come on! A six month swing?! Either the sample population is very small or someone with a 10year wait just got approved?

I want to schedule a trip to but how can I plan anything at this point? Do you guys have plans to take extended time off when visa approvedl and arrival in the US stage?

that has moved to March 17 which is understandable because only two april filers have been approved so far

if i were u i would go ahead and plan my trip because there are so few approvals these days that the timelines are not predicting with too much accuracy right now

and it seems the tides are changing with california, much to my disappointment

it looks like they are slowing down :(

look on igors list, there has been like two approvals in the last week :(

don't take the timeline calculations too seriously, we just don't have enough data to support. the latest CR1 approval was filed in 2007, that must be why the timeline jumped.

my i-130 received date was april 14, i booked a travel for almost entire month of this july, i am thinking canceling it because i am afraid that either uscis or NVC matters will be waiting. the immigration has put many people's life on hold, let's try to go on with our life as normal as possible during the process.

good wishes to all april filers  we are going to see some activities!!!
