California government does not run the CSC. CSC is run by federal government. So lack of funding is not a concern. Two separate governing bodies. Just have to wait for them to wade through all the work visas first. Happens every year.

any place to see how it went last year when people filed around the time work visas were being processed?

I think I got a touch but it's strange. USCIS originally posted my info on the website and my "Last updated" date has been 04/02/2009 the day it was received. Now, after two months, today it changed to last updated on 04/03/2009 one word.....ricdiculous

hahaha...well I'm a bit more fortunate than the rest. Me and my wife live together. I'm working in her country and we haven't been apart one day since we got married. I had to file stateside in stead of DCF because I didn't have proof that i've lived here more than six months. In reality when we filed the I130 I had been here 10 months. Also, we're not in a huge rush becuase I have more 6 months left on my contract. As long as she is finished and w/ visa in hand by then I'll be happy.

Hey there,

Well the military helpline isn't that helpful though!

Well my husband and I we both called military helpline on 05/26/09, the day after that i checked USCIS (i do it everyday too) than the last update is 05/26/09. Well i am sure that is because we had to tell our receiptnumber at the call.

I did talk with someone else about touches etc. she said a lot of people call and get a touch and after that you don't hear anything anymore.

USCIS doesn't update their website that great either.

Today I could check my timeline again its now saying between July 2 and July 11 but i am not going to hope on that anymore.

Every time, I hope for something and get really sad, so i will try to live by the day and hope to get approved soon.

Hang in there!

Rianne,

I think you should try calling again to get a military expedite. When I called all they asked for was the date and nothing else. I didn't send any mail, orders, or anything. They put in the service request on the 15th and I was approved on the 20th. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get someone who will actually help you. I'm trying to get an expedite from NVC too. We don't have individual orders only orders for the whole unit. So I got someone in my command to write a memorandum saying that. Still waiting to hear from them though......
