So I just called the miltary hotline and they said my petition was approved on May 20th. I called USCIS and she told me doesn't see that and just wait a week or so to see if I get something in the mail. So I called the military hotline again and I got a robot. I might as well have been talking to a wall. So I'm semi happy, but I don't want to pump myself up. One thing we have concluded for sure is either A) the expedite was approved or B) the petiton was approved. I'm going to try and relax this memorial day and then wait for the mail man.

Hope you get approved :D

I filed in April, as well. should have been sent to vermont, but they sent it to California (hoping it's a good thing!) One question...how do you know when your file was "touched"? :star:

you can go to online status page on USCIS.gov to create a account there, add your case in your watch list, the update date column in the table will be the place to see if any touches. but don't put too much hope on the field though since it might never change for some cases - A LOT.

so disappointed that these people in CR1/IR1 dept sit idle on us these days

something really needs to happen for April filers, i hope it will come this week

We will be at 30 days tomorrow. Was thinking between 45 and 60 days with all the work visas they have to go through first.

I just passed the 30 day mark a few days ago, but nothing has changed in my case status or last updated date. I am eagerly awaiting a NOA2, I already have the ds3032, ds230, and I864 already filled out, and already have the $70 for the I864 ready to go, I won't have the whole 400 for the ds230 till July.

Hello there, I'm a March filer.

But just thought you all ought to know, CR1 VISA's seem to be in a rut. Work VISA's are taking over at present. :(

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.

Hopefully things will pick up soon. Next week I can finally get someone to talk to me about my case. It's been almost a month and still no NOA1.

Hey there,

I see you are in the military! My husband is in the military too he is an US marine.

What will expedite say? Is that something special for military people?

I hope you get approved soon!

And hope we are going fast too because i miss my husband so much...well guess everyone which is married and going through this journey want to get that visa soon!

Take care and have a nice weekend!

Ri

That's awesome your husband is a Marine. They have really hard training sometimes. I'm a office worker in the army. USCIS has a hotline that military members and their families can use. I used to call using the regular hotline but once I used the military hotline I started getting alot more help and answers. The number is 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645). Call and see if they can help your case expedited.

Hey there!

Did you got your NOA2 already by post? I hope so!

Well yesterday my husband called that helpline than they had technically problems.

Than I called but they said no we need to talk with your husband, heh, that military helpline is also for family!!!

Than my husband called right way after that call from me and it was not really that helpful at all, and again technically problems.

So we both do not really have a good feeling about talking with them, because i asked a question and they didn't really want to answer my question etc. My husband had a question, not really an answer either.

But today I checked our case on USCIS and say: last update: 05/26/2009 > So we got a touch??? Did our call help???

I hope so!

Take care!

Today is day 55 for us. I haven't had a touch and when I call they actually read me the same thing the online status says.

I'm not a patient person by nature so this is the worst kind of torture for me. Hope everyone else is dealing with the

waiting better than me.

Hey Abiding!

I understand you very much! I am not a waiting person at all either!

It is very hard, to wait, to know they are not looking at our cases and we can't change anything about it.

I am a "do" person, so yes this is frustrated!

Really hope we all get approved soon! Because it hurts to be apart from your LOVE!

Take care!

Ok guys, it's true. My I-130 was approved on 20 May. As for the status online still lagging, no email, and no snail mail. In fact today I was talking to a second tier officer who could tell me alot of things. She told me my case was approved on the 20th and then send to NVC on the 21st. I just called NVC tonight and they already have my case. I was trying to get my NVC case number when she tells me I have the wrong date for my husband's birthday. I'm like I know my husband's birthday and she was like well can you email us a copy of his birth certificate. And I told her they don't issue birth certificates in Korea. So she said can you fax over your husband's biographic page from his passport. I'm like sure. I texted him and now he's in class so I'll turn it in tomorrow. So tomorrow I can get my NVC number.:yes:

I'm a firm believer in perserverance. So I called again and I spoke with a man. He got my email and my husband's email. And he gave me my NVC number. That lady I talked to earlier must have been tired of being at work. But he was helpful, answered all my questions, and my husband's birthday was correct. Ah...now I can sleep a little easier tonight.
