My fiance is now working in Saudi and have a contract until Nov '09 and been there since Oct '08... He is from the Philippines and a Philippines citizen. My question are if i apply for K1 visa,

1. Will he be able to get all the requirement? like, does he need the police clearance in Saudi or in Philippines or both?

2. Also if he doesn't get the interview in Saudi before Nov '09 can we forward his interview in the Philippines?

3. or should i wait?

pls help if anyone out there had been in this situation

He will have get a police clearance from everywhere he has lived for more than 6 months from the age of 16 and up, so yes he would need a clearance from Saudi as well.

I would take a look at the average processing times for cases to go from date of filling to the interview, November is about 8 months away, and if you are sure that he will be back in the Phillipines after November I would just put the Phillipines consulate on the initial application because it is looking like the K1's are taking about 6 months to get approved now on average. Or maybe wait a couple of months so that you are confident that he will be in the Phillipines when you are expecting an interview because I think moving the files to another consulate may be a big headache.

Just to get you started this site may help you.

He will need a NSO CENOMAR, and a couple BCs. If he goes back to PI he can get them there cheaper. He'll also need NBI clearance in the Philippines. I don'y know if Saudi gives Police clearance or not.

Main thing you need to do for the initial petition is prove you met in the last 2 years. No need BC or CENOMAR until the interview.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

If you do decide to file for a K1, I can help you:

I have been a reader of visajourney for almost a year now - since 2008. This site is GREAT!! Thanks to inspiration I got from reading Visajourney, I have decided to start a K1 Application Packet Assembling Business.

For $ 130, I will basically assemble the packet for you and send you everything you need to create the packet for the K1 visa.

All I need are the two names. And US Citizens address.

This service is ONLY for the K1 visa applicants because that is my area of specialty.

The website is currently: http://www.k1visahelper.websiteworks.com/

But in a few weeks it may change to http://www.k1visahelper.com

Either way, u can reach me at k1visahelper@gmail.com
