So i wanted to share with you all in the same boat my story so as to maybe ease the worried minds of some out there.

I came here from UK last year on a i-94 visa waiver.

I met, fell in love, married last year (2008).\

I filed for AOS in August. I recieved NOA's about a week later.

I my EAD 89 days after filing for AOS. and no RFE's.

My first interview was Feb 2009. We were asked the usual standard questions, then split up and asked seperate questions, which after conferring in retrospect we were actually asked different questions....LOL

At the end of the interview we were told it would be reviewed and we would hear soon in the mail.

2 weeks later we were sent another Interview appoinment for Late March, to which we were to bring proof of my wife's (financial sponsor) proof of earning for the last tax year.

We gathered all this and attended the interview, we provided everything requested. We were then questioned again, and split up again to be asked seperately once again.

e

At the end of my wife's last questioning she came out very upset, the interviwer had been very rude, stating he didnt beleive in our marriage, she was very upset all the way through due to some personal medical news which we informed the interviwer of, he asked if we wanted to stop but we wanted it over with.

So at the end my wife came out in tears to tell me that he didnt beleive us and we would hear in the mail.

This was very stressful as i was expecting to be called back in for further questioing or at least to be told the situation, i even had further cohabiting proof he hadnt asked for yet.

Anyways we left very stressed and upset and expecing a denial.

3 days later i received my "Welcome to the USA" letter notifying me of my approval and my green card should be arriving soon....YAY.

So after 2 interviews, being told we werent beleived and lots of stress and upset it is all over.

So anyone out there unsure, just hang in and beleive and hopefully all will come good.

I just hope it is now all over until the 2 years are up.

My wife still is paranoid we will be called back in again before we apply to remove the conditions or that we will be visited or another letter will come saying there was a mistake etc etc.

To everyone out there, hang in and believe and enjoy America !!!!

Lets hope all will be good now until condition removal !

YAY....yanke doodle dandy ;-)

Congratulations. Your poor wife! I hope she starts to feel comfortable again soon since you did receive your green card in the end. Reassure her that for the Removal of Conditions start collecting evidence now in a big box - you have two years to put into it all sorts of mail and documents and financial statements addressed to the two of you, and then you can go through it at the time, discover you have all sorts of good evidence, and will most likely never have to deal with an interview at all.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Wow congrats! Maybe you had to go through all that because you came as a tourist and then filed for AOS but you guys made it so tell your wife to relax. As long as you do what kathryn41 said, you guys should be ok and until then just enjoy being married to your wife!

Good luck and God bless!

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

well congrats are in order i guess ... u re done with an ugly chapter of your life lol ....is that i wish all stories end up pretty similar ...as intrigued as i assume u were about this "barrage of questions" i was as well but for a different reason: not even one single question about my marriage(just didn't know what to make of it)just a bunch of questions about my traffic tickets .Anyway ,I applied in Sept 2008 for AOS after 2.5 years of marriage.Everything went smooth, well i thought it was at least ,got my EAD and AP in December and the interview set up for the early February 2009 .Sweet i said ... everything really does go smooth ...3 days latter  ...... 10 days latter :whistle::whistle::unsure: ...........well i got nothing.....lol .. still waiting ...and I'm waiting ever since ... i don't know ...for something ...anything?! lol .... well i know I'm not in the worst situation ( heard people waiting for quite some time )... but still ... o well, i guess i shall wait a lil longer ...but.. how long ? any1? thank u
