my wife and i have our interview on April 13 2009 in Dominican Republic. we were married on Dec 31, 2008. we applied for I-130 in Feb 2008. i have had a lawyer all this time but they haven't been much help in preparing for the interview. i have been told by others to create a binder consisting of several things such as:

any phone bills, greeting cards, photos together w/family/friends, wedding photos, any gift receipts, money sent/recieved between each other, plane ticket receipts, birth certificates, wedding certs, divorce certs, meal receipts, or any receipts gathered while visiting her we. we both have each of these, if applicable.

also, she just went for her medical exam this past week, and is getting her police certicate. i love her with all my heart and we have talked almost every day since the wedding even if it was only to say hi or i love/miss you. i feel confident in our relationship and feel we know each other well. however, i like to prepare as much as i can. so i would like to ask if anyone has any information on typical questions asked at the interview? helpful hints of things to do/not to do, regarding demeanor, dress, asking/answering questions, etc.. everyone has told me not to worry, but i can't help it. i like to avoid any surprises, if possible.

we are both bringing our "binders" and she is also bringing her medical exam results and recent police record. in addition to the binder, is there someting else i should bring?

any advice would be appreciated!!

All looks good.

good luck!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Binders, it would be easier to put everything in folders with labels identifying each document. This is what I did last month for my interview.

The space in the windows where the interview takes place is really small and the binder will take a lot of space. Just my comment.
