Photocopies for interview

I have read that I need to take a extra set of photocopies with me to the interview. What all do I need to photocopy?

So far I have photocopied my passport, Spouses passport, Police certificates, I-864, DS 230 and DS2001 (which were submitted to embassy).

Is there anything else that I should photocopy?

Birth certificate?

yeah, the original plus one copy of the long-form birth ceritificate.

Basically you make a copy of anything you want back in your possession when you leave the embassy or they might put your only copy of a document in your file. So do you want your certified birth certificate back? Of course.

Just ask yourself if you need it back. If you do, take a copy. They look at the original to verify it, then put a copy in your file. If you can print it off your computer again then not such a big deal.

They of course would not put your passport in your file and you will get that back....with a visa inside!!
