Over 30 days and no NOA2 in the mail?

I am wondering if any one has had this problem. My journey has been so smooth so far but I am preparing the paperwork for EAD, AOS and AP. We have not received our NOA2 in the mail. I called USCIS and they told me it has not been returned to them. A replacement cost 300 plus. Any advice or personal experience with this problem?

I have the same problem. They said it was sent, but I never received it. I called and they told me to file form I-824 i think and pay the fee. 340 bucks!! Basically we are getting screwed for the mistake of the USPS. You won't need the actual NOA2 until AOS though.

I wonder if a printout of the e-mail that USCIS sent saying that the petition was approved will work for AOS instead of the I-797 (NOA2)?

Good question and one a friend has also, seems to be a rash of it lately and he is very perturbed at the thought of paying $340 for someone else's mistake. Our bright idea, for now.? Go without, send a copy of the email with the AOS and hope they can figure out that DUH!!!!!!!! the visa was approved if she is here!!!!!!!! He will send a copy of the VISA with the AOS. (it is a required item) We hope, really hope, they can figure out this puzzle.

If not, he will deal with the RFE AFTER she is here and the AOS is filed and they have the NOA1 for the AOS in their hands.

We have had the same problem. We ended up paying $340 for I824, and we just don't want to screw up our AOS process.

That's not a bad idea. Really, once she/he is here and married, they are here. They won't get deported and if you get a RFE it is only a couple of weeks delay, which is noting considering the wait that most people go through to get here. If it works it will have saved 340 bucks.
