phone number for USCIS to call from abroad??

i would like to find out how i myself can call uscis to see whats going on with my case or get a service request. i cant get through on the 1800 number from UK, does anyone know of any other number to call from overseas??

Got NVC Case no - 30 April 09

DS3032 generated - 1 May 09

Emailed DS3032 - 5 May 09

AOS fee paid online - 8 May 09

Sent AOS package - 13 May 09

Received IV email - 18 May 09

IV fee paid online - 10 June 09 (delay as was considering K3 at this point but the K3 interview was July 15th, so decided CR1 better and only 1 month longer!)

IV package sent - 17 June 09

CASE COMPLETE - 1 July 09

Interview date recieved via email - 9 July 09

Medical - 11 August 09

Interview 14 August 09

Timeline

As far as I know, they only have that one number you can call to, the one on their website, I believe it's 1-800-375-5283 (at least that's what I have written down). I've called that number by cellphone from Finland... Probably costs me a fortune, but hey... Sometimes you gotta fo these things.

Oh and by the way, if you're not the American Citizen, they won't give you information on your case. They just told me to have my husband call them - though they didn't have any more information for him either. It's kind of pointless. I think it also needs to the American of you two who can do the service request.
